It's pretty cool. As long as you can find internet you really don't need it. I do all contact by facebook, twitter and email. Saves me whatever a month, because people just text anyway

I did promise Bucc if I bought one i'd buy from him. One day i'll probably have to breakdown and do it. People look at me like an a-hole when I tell them I don't have a phone. Like i'm blowing them off

That was my favorite part about not having one, no one believed me.

I got rid of mine when I switched jobs. Made it about two years (two glorious years) but couldn't fight the wife about not being able to get in touch with me while on the road (I have to travel a decent bit and am a total tard so I always get lost and would call her at midnight from an abandoned gas station's pay phone with a 13 year old AT&T calling card).

At first I just got a few cheap contract "drop" phones (a new one every six months or so). Was totally cool, I felt like I was in the Bourne Identity every time I would change phones/numbers and go off the grid.

Finally got a smart phone last year. I think they have switched their pricing for new customers, but I paid for a contract phone through T-Mobile ($199) and get unlimited text and 4G for $30 a month (the kicker is that I only get 100 minutes of talk time (but it's just 10 cents a minute after the first 100 and often I don't reach 100)). Plus, I don't really want to talk to someone on the phone, so I have an excuse to say "are you on fire? then text me that shite."

@rivalsmike: After talking to Da'Shawn Hand last night I still feel #michigan team to beat but #gators are a big threat as I assumed. #bama long shot

@CharlesGPower: Former #Alabama commit and Prattville product Justin Thomas in at QB for #GeorgiaTech

Still never will get him going to GT when we said we would give him a shot at QB.

"I want to prove I can play QB, so I am going to go run the triple option."

Sometimes I forget how short-sighted I was at 18.

Again, we need SPEED of the edge.

How can it be that hard for us to recruit that?

I'm so tired of hearing that BS. Hubbard was giving their run game nothing on the outside. We gave up a whopping 6 points the entire game. But we didn't get a fast rush off the edge, so it sucked. Give me a freakin break.

I know you are as tired of hearing it as everyone else is of saying it but without a pass rush a nd some pressure from somewhere, qb's are having 15 seconds to throw the ball and that's why our CB's and safties are getting lit up.

I'm beginning to think it is more of a coaching thing than a recruiting thing.

Not bad coaching, but a philosophical type of thing.

Stephen Roberts visited yesterday. Says he talked to Saban and Smart. Says he is 100% committed, but plans on taking officials to Alabama and Auburn after the season and could see himself playing at either.

From the AU megathread

AUCE05
quote:

FWIW, the Humpries kid at Hoover doesn't want to go to bama. He'll probably be pressured there, but he also wants to run track. Saban told him no on that. FSU is his leader.

Anyone know if this poster has any credibility? Thoughts?

IDK about the poster but people have latched onto this "Saban won't allow players to play 2 sports" notion. I've had a couple people IRL tell me it's too bad he wouldn't let Winston play baseball. The man's not an idiot. He's not going to miss on an elite player by telling him he can't play both. FWIW Marlon has said in a couple different interviews that we've told him he can play both.
