Can Sims?
You mean Rod Taylor.
And you left out the nugget on Cornwell.
It said his team outscored their opposition when he was in the game. They lost the lead when the other two scrubs came in to play.

Congrats to Jimmy; this is fantastic story of redemption and rehabilitation.

I was looking back through our classes from 1971-1979, the height of the Bryant era. They look very similar to the national scope we see now under Coach Saban.
I bring this up because there has been some arguments on other Alabama sites that we're getting away from our "roots". It seems to me, we're getting back to them.

Has the ship sailed between UA & Jordan Sims?

I think he might get another shot at July's camp. He has been working out with a personal trainer.

I was saying (and 247 also posted) that Bama would take him and McBride commitment had no bearing Taylor, but I still doubt it happens but staff still would like him to be a part of this class
On Jordan Sims if Rod Taylor commits to OM and he shows staff his dedication by losing weight etc I think it could be a perfect storm, I personally like him better than Mosley (strictly as an inside OL)
Mag how would you compare Jordan Sims to Charles Mosley as OGs?

Todd Huber, the director of player personnel for the OL/DL tells me that the best OL have been Cam Robinson, Toa Lobendahn and JC Hassenauer.
He says it's usually the case where the top OL comes in and he disappoints or doesn't live up to expectations. He says Robinson is surpassing expectations.
He says Hassenauer hasn't lost a rep. Most kids lose their technique when the pads go on but not JC.

Looks like McBride and Hasselhoff are another couple of kids that we did our homework on and got in on right before they blow up.

Lester Cotton has two more years of high school football to go, but already has his heart set on where he plans on playing college ball.
"(Alabama) is my favorite," the Central-Tuscaloosa guard told AL.com on Wednesday. "I've always been an Alabama fan ever since I was a little kid. It's the school I've been dreaming of going to. I will commit to Alabama, but I'm just not sure when."
The 6-foot-5, 309-pounder's first offer was from the Tide. He picked it up last month after impressing head coach Nick Saban at Alabama's annual OL-DL camp.
"It felt great," said Cotton, who is rated by 247Sports as a four-star prospect. "I was happy. I never thought I would get an offer so soon. (Saban) is a great coach. He said 'I think you'll fit, but you have to be willing to work.'"
Several SEC programs are beginning to take notice of Cotton, as Mississippi State quickly followed with an offer of its own. He says Auburn, Ole Miss and Missouri are also showing interest.
But despite the recent attention the 2015 prospect has garnered, he is doing his best to stay focused.
"I'm not really focused on all the attention," he said. "I have a football season ahead of me and I'm trying to lead my team to a state championship."
Central head coach Dennis Connor has only one senior on the offensive line and expects Cotton to take on a big leadership role this fall.
"He really started to come into his own last year," Connor said. "He's being recruited as a junior, but he'll have to keep up in the classroom and on the field. He's going to summer school this year to stay ahead a little bit. He didn't have to, but he wants to stay on task."
Connor said Cotton's biggest strength is his run-blocking ability and he's been working on his pass-blocking this summer.
