Calling it a school is being very, very generous.

It just goes to show you that doing the "cool, edgy" thing when it comes to recruiting will eventually bite you in the arse.

As for the 2015 class, BOL posted a list of players that have UA either in the lead or in the Top 2 or 3 and there were 30 ranked in the Top 200.

Point being, this train ain't slowing down anytime soon fellas.

A few days old, but:

Just got off the phone with Jackson QB Quinton Flowers. Says #Alabama is at the top after the recent offer. Full story tonight

Bama is after him as an athlete, as are most of his big offer teams. He is pretty set on QB, but some clever speaking from different sides of the mouth could help. Tell him he'll get a shot at QB, tell the QB that Flowers isn't gonna stick there.

His cousin is Andre Johnson, of ThaU. That school is also his own dream school, but they are adamant about not wanting him as a QB at all.

Whyyyyyyyyyyy????

They have been fricking garbage for a decade. It's been like 6 years since they had a 1st round pick. They haven't been to a major bowl game since the recruits in this cycle were in the 2nd grade. They can't even win the fricking ACC, they have the shittiest fans in the entire country, and it's a good day if they get 40k people to a game. Miami no longer matters in the landscape of college football. Yet they remain the "dream school" of so many South Florida kids.

I'm not big on recruiting HS QBs (who haven't played other positions) with the intention of turning them into a Safety, WR, etc... I know it works sometimes but seems to have a pretty low success rate

The article mentioned in the tweet talked about Bama wanting him to try out WR as well in camp. So there's a bit of look see that could determine their interest. Though I've seen Miami fans saying the only reason Bama wants him is to get other players from the area(they didn't name names).

Athletes are definitely tricky coming from the QB spot. The dynamic ability is there, but by the time you find it, he's already off the 2 deep. The stubbornness, while isn't a bad thing to have, doesn't help matters either.

He's probably gonna end up at Marshall or USF, the other 2 of his top 3, if he sticks to his guns about being a gunslinger...

Completely different type of situation. We were desperately trying, and failing, to get shite together. The fanbase still cared. The administration cared. At Miami there is no fanbase, and the administration is flat out hostile towards the football program. Barring some sort of miraculous turn of events, they are dead and never coming back. Surely the recruits realize that no one there gives a frick when they see that the program has no fans, borrows a stadium, uses shite facilities, etc.

It's an acronym athletes are using.

I think it means Grind Under Major Pressure or something?

Not a very good year for CBs apparently. When was the last time the top CB in a class was ranked as low as #33?
