If Romney actually votes yes, then I don't see how the Dems could possibly hope to block the nominee.

I honestly don't see anyway he can vote no if he wants any semblance of a political career in Utah moving forward. I've thought he would vote yes from the very beginning.

IF Romney votes yes then they have the votes but no matter who gets the nod the left will manufacture some type of false accusation like they did with Kavanaugh. Romney has a tendency to, quoting the great Margaret Thatcher, go wobbly in those situations.

Also, Romney is 73 and his term doesn't end until 2025. He's at a point where his political future is limited no matter how he votes on any issue.

I see that one poster still hasn’t posted “science” here

Back to virus stuff, Jefferson is the only place that really somewhat of a hotspot anymore. I get that they have a bigger population but any reason why the other hotspots like Mobile have considerably decreased?

The US govt last week updated the survival rates (i.e., IF infected) for Covid19:

20-49 99.98%
50-69 99.5%
70+ 94.6%

Here’s some science.

That's all great unless you're one of the wrong percentage.

One can see the heavy spike 81% legacy death laundering today, helping produce a 56% 7-day average.

You can see that the orange curve is 7 weeks behind the blue 'positives' bars. That equates to a ~45 day lag between reported illness and death.

Interesting that per that chart, number of cases have been back to or below mid-March values for a month or so.

And yet deaths are being reported in extremely high numbers, to the point of the curve almost appearing to flatten out.

There looks to be a huge discrepancy in the slopes of the curves for cases vs. deaths.

ICU is moving toward an asymptote - which either means that there is a demographic channel inside of which we are having a tough time reducing the critical-care impact of Covid, or, there is another factor which is ensuring a steady base of ICU positive-patients.

An abysmally unethical 81% legacy death laundering today. Couple this with 65% false and old positives in detections, and - we have a pandemic tail which is 3/4ths false.

OPINION: We may need climate lockdowns to halt climate change, Mariana Mazzucato writes. That might mean governments limiting private vehicle use, banning consumption of red meat, etc. We must do capitalism differently to avoid that.

Yes they did. Hillary conceded the morning after the election and called the Trump campaign to congratulate them and gave a public concession speech.

WP article

YouTube of concession speech

And the issue isn't him conceding, it's him committing to the peaceful transfer of power that every single president before him has committed to and participated in.

I find it funny that educated people still fall for this kind of nonsense.

What exactly do people think he is going to do?
