Some Sexton Combine measurements courtesy of Bleacher Report

Height w/o Shoes - 6' 0.5"
Height w/ Shoes - 6' 1.5"

Weight - 183lb
Bodyfat - 5.6% (I don't trust BF% calcs from NBA, said SGA had 3% and Wiley was 5%)

Wingspan - 6'7.25 (:woah:)
Standing Reach - 8'.25"

Did y’all sign a PG in the same class as Sexton? Thought I remembered y’all being in it at the start but y’all accepted a PG commitment from somebody else. I could be thinking of somebody else or maybe the site I was looking at was wrong. At the time Sexton was ranked in the 530’s yet was showing offers from FL, Bama and nobody else.

We did have Shai Gilgeous-Alexander committed but he backed out and ended up signing with Kentucky, obviously. We ended up with Mike Okauru who didn't really handle much PG last year but is an impressive athlete and has a high ceiling as a scorer.

The latest on Kira is not good for Bama. This is second hand so TIFWIW...the word around school is KL will graduate early and sign with Ole Miss. Apparently OM has guaranteed him a starting position as a true freshman.

Hate it when coaches do this. I don't think Kira would start over Breein Tyree fwiw, unless Tyree is transferring.

3% body fat? Is that even possible?

Kira would probably start for us right now, but I doubt Avery will promise him that. If he did, Butler would be out of here quickly.

Tyree has extensive SG experience while Lewis can play off ball as well. Not sure why this is a problem in your eyes

Not a "problem," just don't know that it's necessarily a situation where a coach should be guaranteeing a starting spot. They also have Shuler as well so it's not like they're devoid of guards

Historically at MTSU, Kermit's best teams featured 3 guards

Well they also have Terence Davis probably and Top 5 JUCO G/F Brian Halums

Not saying he wouldn't start there, but it's not a clear path, and promising spots is how recruits end up transferring. He'd have as good of a shot to start at Bama and his supporting cast at Bama would be way better

BOL article on Kira came out today. He’ll visit Bama, UK, and Indiana

I seriously doubt he’s going to Ole Miss

Not surprising. I think everyone that's scouted him knew the 6'3 listing was generous. At least he did qualify to be listed as 6'2

The good news is that his wingspan actually checked out to be slightly longer than advertised which should help his stock. Hoping the Hawks can land him by moving up from 19.

If Indiana gets Kira and Watford, I'll melt.

I’ve always heard that Kira will likely stay close to home, and he’d only go far away if it was Kentucky. And I also don’t think Indiana is in as great of a shape with Watford as Bama is

I disagree. Guaranteeing Lewis minutes + a starting job is extremely easy even while giving minute increases to all the returning players. Bolded players = starters,

Tyree 30m ('17 25 mpg)
Schuler 25m ('17 18 mpg)
Davis 30m ('17 27mpg) ** Possibly less due to 4.3fouls/40
Lewis 25m
Halums 20m
Stevens 25m ('17 22 mpg)
Olej 20m ('17 14 mpg) ** Possibly less due to 6.8fouls/40

Others - 20m

Texas A&M Forward Tyler Davis is expected to stay in the NBA Deaft and will not return to Texas A&M even though he is not expected to get drafted. Sources say he will sign with an agent and play in Europe this fall. Davis met last week with agents in Chicago.

Yeah they’ll definitely struggle next year. They’ve got a ton of production to replace

I thought they'd be decent w Starks, Hogg and Davis if they all returned. Also liked the JUCO they brought in

A rumor I heard at the YBOA State Tournament this past weekend was that Kira was considering not playing HS this year, graduating in December and going somewhere in January. No idea if credible or not (probably not), but passing along one story I heard.

Why? Doesn't make a ton of sense
