I agree with that, but at some point I wonder how many of those open shots were a result of the opposing team knowing we shot poorly, and just playing zone. I agree with what you said, but I'm also on the boat where I would hope that they limit their shots from outside if they just aren't finding a rhythm.

That most certainly has a lot to do with it. But IMO if we stop shooting wide open 3s, it's going to be incredibly hard to get any penetration against a defense that doesn't have to defend the perimeter.

Our 2018 class is arriving on campus today. I think Fleming and Butler got there early this morning

Some rival school news, Austin Wiley & Bryce Brown & Harper have announced they will return to Auburn. Expected Harper to also announce he is returning soon as well

Mustapha Heron is transferring to another school closer to home to be near his sick mother (serious concussion)

Heron’s dad confirmed to Zagoria that he’ll transfer. Wants to be closer to his mom in Connecticut who had a massive concussion. Will attempt to get a waiver so he can play immediately

Hope he gets the waiver. He is a good kid even if he was impatient over staying in school v going pro

Really hope that he gets into broadcasting down the road though, the kid sounds great in front of a mic. Great sounding voice + articulates his thoughts well on the fly in interviews

Better than most of the jackwagons that announce games on SECN

Just watched NBA Draft Special on ESPN.

They have Sexton going to the Cavs. I'd love to see Sexton + LeBron.

Not sure Lebron is staying in Cleveland. Their cap situation is a dumpster fire and he wants to win some more hardware

Do you think LeBron stays if he wins the Finals this year?

I think it would help but I have always felt like after he brought home a trophy to Cleveland most of the burden he felt was lifted. I think he can now leave Cleveland with no guilt.

Extremely unlikely, really would only happen if he wants to stay close to Akron more than a chance at another championship.

Keep in mind, the Cavs can't add any real "NBA Championship" talent due to cap situation while their core is likely to show another decline. Hill (33), Smith (33) and Korver (38) will all be >30 next season

Also, the Cavs ownership would be on the hook for some $30+ million in luxury tax on top of the $30mil they paid this year. I doubt they'll be that hurt if Lebron left. They'd obviously resign him in a heartbeat, but it is clear from their actions that they are prepared to rebuild

In addition to the above, a Sexton / Lebron pairing doesn't seem ideal to me.

As I said earlier, I think Sexton going to New YOrk would be a great fit. If they can resign Por3ingus, they will have a clear salary cap situation after next season with the ability to build off Sexton, great defending/developing Frank N and a unicorn in Porzingus

The Hardaway Jr contract is the only residual "bad" deal but even then, it isn't that bad and only has 3 more years. Most teams have a terrible deal anyways

I’d be cool with that. Looks like it’s either gonna be the Magic, Knicks, Cavs, or Sixers

People complain about JR earning 13M and Tristan earning 16M... the real problem for them is they added George Hill's old limited arse for 20M and Clarkson's can't shoot arse for 12M.

If they could move JR, Hill and Clarkson (without losing their lottery pick), they could open up 46 million in space (in context to what they paid this year).

They won't though.

Just imagine.. Gilbert shot down Adam Griffith doing a deal to bring Eric Bledsoe, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony to the Cavs. Then immediately fired him... what a mormon of an owner.
