Fun fact: going into his sizzling 1-5 performance from 3 against Arkansas on February 27th, 25% of Cam Thomas's made 3s on the season came in LSU's first 3 games.
Wow

We should play on CBS more often!

At 7.6 and 7.2 respectively, Cam Thomas and Scotty Pippen Jr. are the only two players in the entire conference averaging more than 6 FT attempts per game. I just cannot stand players whose goal is to draw contact, flail, and shoot FTs, which is a huge part of both of their games, with Pippen being the bigger offender. It produces results, but it's such a chickenshit way to play.

Crazy to think a guy averaging 11 points a game would be a Naismith finalist
I don't think he'll win it even come top 4. But it's good to see voters see other things then big point totals. Doing the small things are equally important in winning games just as much as points

They are 1 and 2 in the conference in usage percentage too.

Do it all Herbert Jones! I'm looking forward to him having a great tournament run!

He definitely won't win the Naismith. I think he will probably finish around 7th but nice to have someone in the running.

Sharife Cooper was averaging 8.6 free throws a game.

Constant drawing fouls is why I quit watch NBA for ages. I didn't really watch it until the playoffs a couple years ago. And that was only because I was signed up for some kind of Russian or Italian mafia pirate internet cable, that had like 2,000+ channels with all the ppv stuff, for like $8/month, and I can't watch shows or movies with ads. So I started watching basketball again.

He didn't play enough to qualify. If he had he probably would have ended up shooting a ton over the course of an entire season too, because just like Pippen a huge part of his game is to force contact on a drive with his off hand or shoulder, flail, and draw a whistle. To his credit, Thomas falls more into the constantly rewarded for making out of control drives and leaning into defenders while he shoots category than being a true flopper.

Technically, attempting draw fouls is a big part of what I hate about Shack's game. Mostly because he's bad at drawing enough contact to get the foul call, and ends up throwing up an absurd looking attempt.
That said, last several games, he's played my much smarter when driving. So he definitely deserves a lot of credit for working to improve his game, especially during a critical stretch in the season.

I don't necessarily mind trying to draw contact at the basket for the and-1. It's the guys who gesticulate and flail around like they just got shot because a defender bumped them 15 feet from the basket that piss me off.
