Oats mentioned in the post game press conference that he had texted with him yesterday but didn't mention how many times or act annoyed by it at all.

Why do 3D10 and 1987 feel the need to go into every fricking basketball thread and let it be known how much they hate basketball?

I understand people simply not liking basketball. It can't be everyone's cup of tea. The whole literally being proud of how much you hate basketball shtick is completely bizzare though.

Leon Douglas needs to leave Oats alone! Texted him all day yesterday.

Leon played for the Pistons for 4-5 years in the late '70s. There could be a relationship there.

As I recall, when the reporter mentioned it was 1975-76 the last time Bama football and basketball had won the SEC Championship in the same year, the reporter also rattled off the names of several players from that team (including Leon). That’s when Oats mentioned Leon had been texting him. And as mentioned above, it was not presented by Oats as any issue. The press conference was posted a few pages back if anyone wants to hear it straight from Oats.

Herb Jones might be in a little slump offensively but he didn't pout about it instead he made other plays to help the team win and he did that by REBOUNDING the basketball.

1. Herb
2. JP
3. Ellis
4. Bruner
5. Jelly Fam
6. Shack
7. Primo
8. JG (Baby Draymond)
9. Reese
10. DMiles
11. Ro
12. Ambrose

Juwan Gary is climbing fast on my list and I think he has the potential to kind a mimic Draymond Green's game! Super impressed with JG. I can't say enough about the best trio of defenders in the league. Keon, JP, and Herb can shut anybody down when they are locked in and focused.

Looks like we will be 6th again in the AP unless Iowa jumps us, in which case we will be 7th. Seems like everytime we lose so does everyone else

Do y’all think we can repeat next year?

We should be even better next year IMO.

I would probably say it will be between Us, Barn, UK, and Arkansas.

Depends on how we finish out this class. If we get Bediako or a good transfer big to go with Tchikou then I think we will be a top 25 team. I wouldn't feel too good about Rojas having to play 15 or 20 minutes a game at the 5. We gonna be loaded at Guard and should be pretty good at the 4 between Gary, KAH, Wilson, and Rojas.

I think we need Bruner to come back and be healthy to give it a good run.

I don't think Alex and Bediako are as ready to help as people think assuming we get Bediako.

I think we'll be iñ the hunt for a repeat with 4 teams mentioned, Florida possibly in the mix.
With Bruner being a great addition this year, Oats may possibly scoop another diamond in the rough grad transfer.

For us to have a good run we have to stop starting games comatose. Even if shota aren't falling our defense will get us through.

When we faces top teams and continually come out asleep we set ourselves up for failure.

That and make damn layups consistently. That is my biggest issue. If we would make layups consistently we'd be a 1 seed.

Tchikou will be really good. I’d rather get a grad transfer big than Bediako
