We survived grind season.

Now it's time to kick it into gear for tournament season.

We won the games we were suppose to win. That is something we didn’t do the last 5 years in February. A lot of credit to our players.

This is probably the biggest take away and the thing we should focus on. We played poorly and still did what we needed to do. The games we lost were tough, but in terms of being successful this season, they didn’t hurt us at all. They were the exact games we could afford to lose without knocking us of track in the conference race and NCAA seeding conversations.

We haven’t suffered a bad loss since the week before Christmas, even with long stretches of below average play. It speaks a lot to the mentality and toughness of the team, which we haven’t been able to say for 20 years, maybe longer.

"Jones has been AWOL lately." Jones had 14 rebounds against State yesterday. Not really AWOL.

yes but explain 2 points and 2 TO's..That was my point. You expect a starter to do more then 2 points and the last number of games his point production has gone down. We had 3 starters score a total of 4 points. Explain that to me.

He has been Offensively AWOL.

Him and Petty have to be better Offensively. Point Blank. They are Seniors and IMO they are the ones holding us back on offense

Butler might beat Villanova if they can make a free throw. They are brutal from the line.

Up by 8 with 59 seconds to go

Butler wins 73-61.
Interested to see if we move ahead of Nova in some brackets.
Butler only had 8 wins this season before today.

We should.

It isn't like the pollsters and media doesn't like us, it's that lately we have fallen flat to every top 25 challenge away from home so they can't stan us the way they want to.

I'm telling you guys if we could consistently make free throws they would be pushing us for the #3 spot in the 1 seeds. If we beat Arkansas we would have been a #1 seed.

Yea we're in the top 1/3 nationally in FT shooting, 5th in the SEC

We're shooting 72.1% - that's the best Alabama FT % since 2005 (73.4%).

If we win the next two, one would think we’d be no worse than 6 on the S curve regardless of what happens in the SEC tourney wouldn’t you think? It’s hard looking at it in a vacuum, but that’s what I’m thinking at least.

Galin just stepped to the Line and drained 2 FT like nothing

If we could get to #5 overall it would be huge. I don’t want any part of Gonzaga, Michigan, or Baylor before the Final 4

If Illinois/Ohio State are interchangeable at 4/5, we’d be in the bracket with the 4 so that they’d break up the big ten I believe.

I do this a few times each season, but this season has been especially fun because there are so many good players. It’s fun to see who all everyone likes the best....

Rank your favorite players on the team, 1-12 (Tchikou is injured). Not who you think is best, most important, most talented. This should only be your favorites in order....

Mine..

1.) Jahvon Quinerly
2.) Jaden Shackelford
3.) Juwan Gary
4.) Jordan Bruner
5.) John Petty
6.) Joshua Primo
7.) Keon Ellis
8.) James Rojas
9.) Herbert Jones
10.) Darius Miles
11.) Keon Ambrose-Hylton
12.) Alex Reese
