He has got to get in the Gym and get his 3pt shot back.

My theory is That Oats said he was practicing in the driveway back home during the pandemic...I think that fricked his shot up.

True enough Shack was big this game. We won because of our defense late in the game! Bruner came up big late in the first half but the ultimate turning point was when Oats put Herb back in with four personal fouls! Him, Ellis, Quinerly, Shack, and Reese was big in that second half! I think we REALLY missed Juwan today.

Yea I'm not upset with his shot selection. He did a good job.

The only issue I have with Shack is his 100% attack the rim in transition no matter the numbers thing, but I realize that is a small part of a bigger thing and Oats doesn't want to mess with one little thing and screw up the big picture.

I said that people who said he shouldn't be driving are idiots, I agree he has been off from three.

Our whole offense is set on an initial drive or pass to the paint and Shack and Herb seem to be the only ones willing to drive to the paint aggressively.

Shack gets a ton of shite when he misses his drives but when he goes 10 of 13 doing it I dont see anyone praising him. He played great today and is the reason we won.

I think Shack will look a lot better next year with JD here. He's a secondary guard trying to be a lead guard at times this season

A true pg would be great. We've got multiple combo guards that get the job done. But not having a natural distributer can often lead to inconsistency.

I'm very glad this team is mature and has learned how to finish.

I like Shack driving too in a set offense...he is very good at it this year. On FastBreaks and in transition his decision making is awful at times. I would say on at least half of them if he would just give it up to the guy next to him it’s an easy layup instead he just heaves it up no matter what and that is where I get frustrated.

I'm not understanding why everyone has issue with Shackleford taking 21 shots scoring 27 points? He went 10-21. I mean everyone on the roster was struggling to make shot. what was he supposed to do? John petty on Feb 9th shot 7/15 from the field scoring 20 points.

Now, Let's take a closer look at scoring on the team. Shackleford is averaging 13.9 But John Petty is averaging 13.4 followed by Herb with 11.9 and Quinnerly 11.5. It's not like Shackleford is taking majority of shots for the team this year. I get Shackleford doesn't control his layup and sometime I just wish he would just pull up and shoot the ball.

JQ has gotten better at this the past couple of games.

Still can’t get home cookin

And no respect with these noon tip-off games. KY is trash this year and still gets more respect.

Shack was 10 out of 13 on two point attempts. From three is where he struggled today, he was great driving in the set offense and in transition.

Vandy seemed to be focused on preventing the kick out to 3. Luckily, Shack made them pay for it. Definitely his best game at the rim, and not just because they went in. They were shots with taking instead of over 3 defenders.

Shack has been the punching bag for several in this thread all season.

I thought Shack played pretty well today, and I’m pleased with how he’s played overall this year.

For one, he’s basically no longer a defensive liability. Which is a big deal. He and Kira both were last year.

That being said, it’s not crazy to wish he would occasionally make a different decision in transition.

He's made incredible strides defensively.

Yep. If all of us know that if Shack gets the ball in transition he's not giving it back up you know every team we play is aware of it.

Offense 1.11 PPP.

I thought the offense was actually pretty good. 10-39 for 3s and At least 30-35 of them were good looks.

Usually when we shoot 39 3s we are gonna make at least 15 or 16 of them. If we do that today we have damn near 100 pts.

We got a lot of 2nd shots too, which helped.
