What role do you guys feel that Gary will have next season. Will he slide into a Herb role or continue being the small ball 5 like this season? He seems to improve every outing and has been giving very good minutes

He'll likely play some of both at times, but mainly at the 4 I would guess. He needs to continue to fine tune his game and hopefully become more of a threat from outside. I still get a little spooked when the ball is in his hands when he isn't in the paint.

A lot of it will depend on how the roster shakes out after the portal.

That really depends on how his shot comes along in the offseason. I don't think he's Herb though. More likely that he takes over Reese's role IMO.

This is basically basketball WAR, i.e. how much better have teams performed than a hypothetical bubble team would have against the same schedule.

We also had a really good team in 91. Lost to Loyola-Marymount in the Sweet 16. Of course, we would have faced UNLV in the Elite 8, and nobody was beating UNLV that year.

If I had a button to a nuke aimed at Providence, Rhode Island... I'm not sure that I could hold back.

I have never forgiven that Providence team.

Oklahoma isn't as good as I would've expected. Didn't they beat 3 top 10 teams in a row? You would assume they'd be much higher.

Is the NBA all-star game only decided by fan vote? Because that's the dumbest way possible to decide. Harden hasn't done shite but embarrass himself this season. Sexton is getting screwed by being in Cleveland. The all star game shouldn't be a popularity contest, it should be decided by something else, maybe a coaches vote where they can't pick players on their own team.

Nate Oatmeal is not a good basketball coach. And he is an abysmal recruiter.

Really curious to see when A1abana pulls the plug on this little experiment. Maybe they make another run at Thad Matta (even though he turned them down last time

I forgot we chased Thad. Glad things worked out the way they did. Kinda like us missing on RichRod, though not as extreme.

And WillyT is honestly the saddest poster on the rant. I used to just think he was a regular troll. But it's been going on so long, I feel bad for him. He knows more about Bama's roster than 95%+ of Bama fans I know, and I'm in Alabama. Not even talking shite, but he needs therapy or a psychologist. Because he's obsessed to a mentally ill level.

Would you guys be for or against Reese coming back next year? Seems like a possibility. I would be for it. Is it true that it wouldn't count against out scholarships if he came back or would it?

True. But it was to #13 Texas Tech, on the road. That's an acceptable loss. I would've expected them to be a 4 seed. But a 6 is still top 25.

I am mad to see how bad Harmon and Harmless played against TT. They lit us up.

It wouldn't for football. It's assume they'd waive the 15 limit for seniors in basketball too. If there's space, I'd love to have him back. I'd like to think there'd be a better starting option for a big. But him playing 12-15 a night off the bench would be awesome. He's definitely improving under Oats.

So is it mathematically possible to cut the nets down next Saturday at Coleman after the Georgia game if we win the next 3? probably a better chance if we didn't play in the afternoon that day. The teams right behind us are playing each other.

If 2 teams play head to head and one wins the teams know, but the SEC technically awards co-champions in basketball without consideration of tiebreaker, so in reality to totally clinch the sole Championships we'd probably have to wait until Vanderbilt (if we win 3 of 4 or all 4).

By that point we'd be down to 3 games left and if we'd won 3 of 4 in all likelihood have mathematically clinched sole possession of #1.
