Last night it was funny. I figured they'd sleep on it and forget about it. But that places is even more angry this morning. They slept on it and double downed on their anger. Every thread is about Wade.

That's not how they roll. They need to win a game before it's back to "he's a gangsta!" and declaring themselves the long term dominant force in SEC basketball. Their next 4 games are a bit rough though, so it may not happen until the offseason when Grimace signs another class of totally not bought and paid for blue chip recruits.

You’ve probably covered all these opinions, but here’s my thoughts:

Herb - plz get healthy! Would strongly consider sitting him a game or two after we clinch. Bigger picture, we need him close to 100 for tourney.

JP - love his growth as a player when the shots aren’t falling, but still look away when he handles it up top.

Shack - Death. Taxes. Shack scores 10-15 pts.

Reese - so happy for how he’s progressed after all the flack he’s taken. Being healthy helps.

Primo - will be highest drafted on the roster when his time comes.

Bruner - thought he was the slowest on the team til I saw Miles handle it last night, but was just getting into the groove before his injury. Hoping his maturity will get him back where he needs to be quicker than most.

JQ - need more consistency out of him. He has been rejected at the rim a lot, but that does open up the kick out 3, so it’s not the worst thing.

Ellis - love him. Goes 100 every minute he’s on the court.

Gary - Bruners injury may be a blessing in disguise, as Juwan is getting the reps that’ll pay off down the road.

Rojas - not what I envisioned, but maybe his health is a huge part of his woes

KAH - potential, but seems slow

Folks, we as fans, deserve the product we’re witnessing!

We still get those too though, right?

So 7 teams that made it to at least the Final Four, and Norfolkin Way Mizzou.

I'm kinda surprised that he still has LSU in the field at this point. Their resumé is pretty terrible. They look overmatched just about every time they face a quality opponent.

LSU is not a very good basketball team. They have some good players, but absolutely no leadership. It wouldn't surprise me to see them collapse down the stretch.

My thoughts going in, were that being an 8 sees would be awesome, but I would've been happy with just getting into the tournament. Now, I was actually disappointed that we only beat Kentucky by 11, to complete the sweep. And I would be disappointed if we didn't make the sweet 16.

That's a pretty dramatic change in expectations. Almost unfair to the team, tbh. But I've seen what they're capable of, and they are capable of beating anyone. And we're also capable of beating good teams on nights we play poorly. So the expectations are not unrealistic.

Even if we lost on the first weekend, I would be okay with that if they went down fighting. If they're hustling for every loose ball and rebound, and playing good D, but the other team can't miss, I can live with that. Upsets are a part of basketball. What will piss me off, is going down like a bitch, with poor effort. If we lose a game playing with the same defensive intensity as I've seen from LSU this season, then that is a bad loss that'll I'll be pissed about.

I'm pretty sure they got beat in the finals, but I don't remember by who. Our Elite Eight year, U Conn sent us home and THEY won it all, so our best teams were beaten by the best or next best.

THey lost to Syracuse in the semis. The Syracuse zone gave them fits, especially Donovan.

We also had a really good team in 91. Lost to Loyola-Marymount in the Sweet 16. Of course, we would have faced UNLV in the Elite 8, and nobody was beating UNLV that year.

It's all about defense with LSU. If a team plays tough D, and doesn't allow guys to create good shots for themselves, LSU won't be able to score near their average. But give them easy looks, and they'll light you up. They're the And 1 of the SEC.

I was at that game. Providence did not shoot nearly as well in the play in game. When they played us, I swear it seemed like they could just step across mid court turn around shut their eyes and throw it through the basket. I love this team but long term karma scares the hell out of me.

That team was unreal. Their players were probably paid more than professions in Europe. But they were unreal good. I remember hating UNLV and was a very pissed off Georgia Tech fan after they beat them in the finals (lived in Atlanta and my dad went to GT. I loved Dennis Scott and Kenny Anderson as a kid).

I hope Sexton gets enough votes to make the roster.

Agreed - if we somehow lose a Mark Gottfried style NCAA Tournament game I might have to go to the insane asylum.

I grew up an Atlanta Tech fan as well CC, just about 5-10 years later than you.

I grew up on Travis Best, the Barrys, Matt Harping and Starbury. The last good years of the Cremins era.

Ehh it’s a bit early to give us that high of a percentage, but looking around the country I only see two unbeatable teams
