I haven't seen this discussed, but apparently Ky jellies game plan was to get physical with us. It was a brutal game really. I was concerned about Herb's fragility. At one point in the second half, the pace of the game was incredible! At one point after that, both sides of these well conditioned athletes were sucking wind. At the finish, Ky made a surge. Then our guys found something extra in the tank and rallied with their own surge to persevere. I fear that other teams will watch film and pursue their own physical game plan. Especially in the SEC tournament. Considering our injury prone ways, we may limp into the finish line.

The game wasn't brutal, Cal made adjustments to a 3/2 zone about 6 minutes in and their bigs split the difference between perimeter and low post assignments. It was learning experience, Alabama is one of the most physical teams in the league but Kentucky's length did bothered us a bit.
Credit to Kentucky they made adjustments but we battled their asses. Only thing I have is our drivers take another dribble to make the low post defender fully commit before kicking out to a perimeter player for better quality shots.

I hate to say it but Nate Oats:My Cousin Vinny is the worst Rothstein catch phrase. Not sure why so many fans were pushing for this slogan, he would've came up with a much better one on his own.

It's a weird fad but hey man fans gonna fanatic that what so fun. Little quirky stuff like this makes you smile and cringe at same time. Just wish diehards Bama Basketball fans could fill Coleman during these times and show the administration we need a new arena.

Rewatched our last few games today and I selfishly hope Primo doesn't jump after this year. He's balling out, but our backcourt will be fricking sick next year with him.

Just realized that our game moving to ESPN means that Duke basketball was moved to ESPN2 to make room for Alabama basketball.

He seems to be a weird dude. A lot of other media folks make fun of him since he texts every coach in the country to tell them good luck before their games.

The whole Nate Oats , My Cousin Vinny thing makes zero sense whatsoever. I see no connection to the movie other than a man from New York comes to Alabama. How many other tens of thousands of people have moved from New York to Alabama over the years for myriad reasons? Like y’all have already said - it’s cringey and just plain retarded.

Not even. Oats is from a small town in Wisconsin and had been working in New York (Buffalo, not NYC mind you) for a few years before coming to Alabama.

I feel pretty confident. They don’t have the personnel to give our offense problems. I don’t think they can stay in front of our Guards without Helping and if they do that then LOL wide Open 3s
