A few more positives from scanning the box score:

We only committed 10 turnovers.

We forced 20 turnovers.

We had 20 offensive rebounds (JSU had 20 offensive rebounds too so we need to clean that up).

8 steals and 3 blocks.

Nobody had more than 3 personal fouls.

We shot 70% (14-20) from the free throw line.

Shack 5-5
Herb 5-6
JQ 2-2
Rojas 1-2
Primo 1-2
Petty 0-1
KAH 0-2

Surely this would have been our season low last year. Keeping it under 20 felt like an accomplishment at times last season.

Hey did y’all see Darius Miles stroke that mid range Jumper with ease? I know Nate HATES that shot but that stroke on Miles looked Nice.

Miles is gonna be a solid player in the next few years

Yeah I think he and KAH are dudes who will take a couple of years to develop and climb the depth chart, but will be big time contributors as upperclassmen. There just aren't going to be enough minutes to go around and I suspect they will both end up being casualties of the rotation being cut down.

I’m pretty dang happy with the game. We didn’t shoot great, but that will change. The effort seemed very good.

I only have one negative and since it’s Thanksgiving, I won’t say his name.

Happy Thanksgiving you bunch of degenerates!!! We’ve been through hell together, but last night actually gave me hope

Javian had a rough night in his Bulldog debut.

Galin looks like he started at Maryland. 6 points (3-5 shooting) 4 boards in 20 minutes.

Everyone Rank who you believe our best players will be this season all the way down to our worst. I like to do this early on & then see how it changes as time goes on...

1. Jahvon Quinerly
2. Jaden Shackelford
3. Herb Jones
4. John Petty
5. James Rojas
6. Josh Primo
7. Jordan Bruner
8. Keon Ellis
9. Juwan Gary
10. Keon Ambrose-Hylton
11. Darius Miles
12. Alex Tchikou
13. Alex Reese

Note: I’m aware Tchikou is injured

I would still put Petty number 1. If he is On then we are gonna be tough for ANYONE to beat

How are you defining "best"?

Just the best overall basketball player individually?

The "for team success" caveat means JQ and Bruner have to be 1 and 2 on my list.

Both of those guys do things for this team that the rest of the roster would not be able to replicate long term in their absence imo.
