My favorite thread on TRant was one started by an Arkie fan. The title is “Check In If Alabama beat...” and it finishes “your football and your basketball team by more than 30!”
IN!
IN!

KenPom currently has us as a favorite in every remaining game and in the aggregate finishing 16-2 in conference.
So, there's that.
Rat poison. That info made my pants tight, but at the same time I wish I had never read it.

I’m so sick of hearing “ohhhh John petty, he’s a top notch shooter...when he gets hot, watch out!”
Bullshiit. He gets hot once every 20 games.
He’s actually a terrible shooter that just gets hot once a month.

Bros this team is special. I fully expected tonight to be a dogfight and we win by 2 but we called the dogs off up by 40 with 10 minutes left.
We probably wont go undefeated the rest of the regular season, thats not how college basketball works unless you're Gonzaga or someone and are a great team in a shitty conference but we have a damn good team and on any given night we can beat anyone in the country if we play like we have recently.
Show Oats the money, build a new arena, we have found our guy, finally. The sky is the limit for this team as long as they keep focused on the right things.

Can’t wait for covid to end. Coleman will be ROCKING next season

I'm not trying to take anything away from our guys but how bad is the SEC? Tennessee our biggest defining moment of the season got drugged by a much more depleted Florida team. The way we are beating teams and the way top teams are getting beat suggest either the SEC is really good top to bottom or just not very good at all as a whole. Im expecting AU to beat Arkansas and with Cooper they are probably top 4 in the conference

Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, and Missourri are all legit top 25 teams imo, but aside from that it's not too great.
ACC is down with NC and Duke not being good, Pac 12 isn't that great either.
I am interested to see how we fare in the SEC/Big 12 challenge, that will be a pretty good litmus test.
I think Alabama is a legit top 10 team playing the way we have the 3 weeks.

Serious question. Do you guys think we are peaking too early? I mean we basically can’t play better than we played last night.

I'd be a lot more concerned that it's all a mirage if we were winning games by like 6 points on hot shooting nights. We aren't going to like win out or anything if that's what you mean by peaking early. Hell, we might drop two in a row at some point. This team is actually good though, and it's not like you can't go on multiple hot streaks in one season.

The thought has crossed my mind. I mean you can’t play lights out for 3 months straight but like was said before me, it’s not like we are barely scraping by while being hot. We are beating the hell out of folks. We just have to avoid nights where we go 3-23 from 3, but we are also doing a solid job of getting to the rim and finishing so that isn’t a huge concern right now either.

We are heading for Jinx City. Everyone is talking about us on here now. That’s bad when it comes to Bama Basketball.

This is my fear as well. I’ve watched too long and know the other shoe is going to drop any moment now. After shooting 60% from 3 tonight, Saturday we won’t be able to throw it in Lake Tuscaloosa
The way this team is playing defense and driving it to the hole, they can go cold from 3 against many teams and still win.

In our last three games:
1) We won by 20 on the road against Kentucky without Herb and Bruner for large stretches
2) We beat Arkansas by 31 without Bruner
3) We beat LSU by 30 on the road without Bruner
I know everyone knows this, but it looks good when you lay it out like that.
