14. Alabama Crimson Tide (9-3)
Previous ranking: Unranked
This week: at Kentucky (Tuesday), vs. Arkansas (Saturday)
Alabama has really turned things around over the past few weeks, winning five in a row after a sluggish start to the campaign. The Crimson Tide lost by 18 to Stanford in late November, lost to Clemson, struggled to beat Furman at home and also lost to Western Kentucky in Tuscaloosa. But Nate Oats' team has really looked the part since the defeat to the Hilltoppers. Jahvon Quinerly had been a catalyst in wins over Ole Miss and Tennessee, but he's missed the past two games, forcing other players to step up in his place. 'Bama has improved its inside play the past two games too, with James Rojas contributing 15 points and seven boards off the bench against Florida, and Yale graduate transfer Jordan Bruner going for 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists against Auburn.

I'm doing my same routine as well. I refuse to upset the mojo

I think it is our defense that has keyed the wins. Oats has mentioned it as well. Our chances tonight may hinge on whether the refs let Herb do his thing or saddle him early with fouls.

I expect our entire team to foul out in the first half.
In any game these days, if two players touch, someone is getting called for a foul. And we're playing at Rupp.

in a recent game 2 players had 9 TO's but they also had about 40 points. Is that a good trade off for most of you arm chair point guards?
Our turnover to assist ratio isn't great but instead of points by individual players I'd compare it to how well we're defending. We're limiting other teams to even worse TO/Assist ratios and rebounding pretty well and every single player in the rotation is buying into and contributing to that defensive effort.
I'd also not pick out any single player for turnovers the past few games since JQ has been out and Herb has had some foul trouble in a couple of games. That's meant all the other players have been asked to "create" a bit more offense than is probably ideal.
Also assuming one of those players is Primo since he has been pretty turnover prone when "creating" offense has fallen more to him.
I'll 100% live with Primo's freshman turnovers as he gets used to what he can get away with against college level defenders. He's going to grow into a All SEC caliber player by playing. Just up to Oats to continue to pick the moments to get the ball into a more experienced hand in crunch time.

Does anyone know what’s going on with him?

Gotta be Rona. If he tested positive last Monday he probably won't be able to play again until this weekend.
