That Herb turnover was big at the beginning of OT. That put them up 5 and it seem we panicked then and started throwing stuff up

I'm proud of what these guys did this season. In mid December we were just hoping to finish in the top 6 in the conference, yet we won it and the tournament. Excited about next season

Hopefully making the NCAA Tournament will be the norm going forward instead of the exception for Bama.

Cannot remember the last time Shackelford no showed like last night. Wonder if it has to do with playing a team from his home state or if UCLA was always putting their top defender on him, as his consistent 10-17 pts was nonexistent when we needed it the most.

Alabama basketball provided me a lot of entertainment this year. Looking forward to more great seasons

Lots of talent coming back and coming in. A true athletic big man in Alex T and potentially landing Bediako will do wonders.
Primo
Shack
JQ
JD
Ellis
Gary
Miles
Holt
Alex T
Bediako (potentially)
That's a nice squad

We simply beat ourselves last night.
Our 11-25 free throws was the worse in a NCAA Tournament game since 2003 Kansas vs Syracuse.
This Bama team still accomplished a lot going 26-7 winning the SEC/Tournament, going 7-0 vs AU,LSU,TENN.
The future is incredibly bright fellas.

Anybody have a link to Chris Stewart’s call of Reese’s 3? Need it to get thru the day. TIA.

This needs to be put on a 24x24 poster and plastered around the basketball facility

Excellent and Thanks. You are the best

I don’t care what the PPG stats are but Shack did not have a great offensive year IMO. He has got to be better next year

UCLA scored 25 points in the 2nd half. The Bruins scored 23 in OT.
Credit to UCLA for seizing the moment but what a mental breakdown on our side.

Well, damn. That was a tough way to lose. But looking at the stats, it's pretty obvious nerves got the better of our guys, with their FT shooting.
And while the ending was rough, overall, it was still a great season. We were one of the top teams, without any top nba prospect. Just a deep team with a lot of good players, that gelled and exceeded this season's expectations. When Nate Oats was hired, if you said he was getting to the Sweet 16 in his second year, nobody would've been disappointed.
The season is over, but the program still has momentum. Oats made a name for himself as a to coach, in a very short amount of time. There's great talent returning, and great recruits on the way. And now, more recruits then ever see Bama as a great option. The ending was rough, but the future is still very bright.

The Gary no-call was pretty huge. He got raked over both arms with us up 1. Ahh well. Hard to complain about the no-calls late when you weren't making FT's anyway.
Great season, I appreciate the effort from the players/coaches. Just didn't go our way for reasons mentioned earlier in this thread.
RTR and I'm looking forward to getting back into Coleman next November.

Lot of dubious calls and no-calls on both sides, but we make three or four of those missed 14 FTs and the end-game in regulation would've been totally different.
Tough way to lose, but we all knew this sort of game was possible (and maybe inevitable at some point).
I still think this team was very capable - the lack of consistency that we've seen over the past few months just finally caught up with us.

Are we considered the leaders for Bediako?

I actually thought Shack had a better offensive year last year than he did this year.

Still not sure how we got so out of rhythm offensively.
I can't really recall many drives to the basket that resulted in a dish for a open look. We seemed to try and force a lot of shots, both in the lane and around the arc.
