Herb is one of my all time favorite Bama basketball players, but I think Oats tried to force the offense through him too much the past 2 seasons.

Good season bama. Don’t let the trolls on the rant get to y’all. This is just the nature of the tournament. This was a very good team that won the conference regular season and tourney. Both are great accomplishments.

Kids need to practice their free throws man. The sec in general usually sucks at them.

Tough loss, but it's difficult to be too upset. It was a helluva year. Proud of this team, and I think they'll be remembered as the beginning of a great run.

FTs and those two back-to-back calls going to UCLA at the end of regulation did us in. We could have over come one of those hurdles but not both.

I'm really just dissapointed, as much for those guys as anything. They went out on a pretty ugly note and I know it's going to eat at them forever.

And that sucks.

Reese is a fricking legend as far as I'm concerned.

Via @ESPNStatsInfo: Alabama going 11-for-25 from the free-throw line was the worst free-throw performance in the NCAA tournament since Kansas went 12-for-30 in the 2003 national championship game against Syracuse. (Min. 25 FTA)

Can’t imagine some of them getting over this debacle for a long time.

Oats will probably give them a week or 2 off but JQ, Shack, and Ellis better push these fools nonstop in the offseason. We can do something special next year.

Bama has been good at free throws this season. I think it was nerves and not knowing how to close the game.

Great season

With the game on the line, putting the game into the hands of a badly struggling Herb instead of Quinerly was a very bad call by Oats

He had to have a complete brain fart. You ALWAYS want the ball in the hands of the player who has been the best thing all game AND the best Ft shooter. Not someone who has 2 points and played lost on offense all night.

We’ve been a good FT shooting team all season, except a game or two. Tonight was just one of those nights.

Maybe we will bounce back like Kansas and win a national championship 5 years from now?

What good will it do to be mad at Herb and Shack? shite happens. We’re just a bunch of dudes watching them play, hoping they’ll do well. They wanted to perform well and win that game far more than any of us on this board. Those guys brought a lot of joy to this thread this year. It sucks and it hurts, but I can’t be mad at any of those guys. I’ll miss watching them play while I’m cheering on the team next year.

Well said . That’s where I am at . Hate it for the guys . They played with more heart than any team the last several years
