I really wish all our fans could attend these games. I would make that drive up I65 in a heartbeat.
is anyone from this thread attending this weekend/Tuesday?
2 upper deck seats would be close to $900 after fees on stubhub. That's a bit much.

Quin has taken over as PG, while Shack is playing more of a SG/combo guard. And that seems where they both thrive. Shack running point seems to have a lot of turnovers or layup attempt where he avoids contact (and not getting the foul call).
Both of them have been playing much smarter over the last few weeks.

Adam Pruit is gonna go.

Offensive Rating according to KenPom
2018 Colin: 109.6
2019 Kira: 106.2
2020 Kira: 107.9
2021 JQ: 110.5
JQ being a significantly better 3pt shooter in college is probably what is putting him over the top here. Kira and Sexton were better around the basket IMO.

If anyone manages to see the fight in the stands between him and Mr. Google Fingers, please remember to film horizontally. Makes it much better for viewing on PC.

I agree with that. JQ has improved around the rim quite a bit as the season has progressed as well. Feels like he makes the majority of them now when earlier in the season it felt like he was only successful like 25% of the time. He has so much talent and I don't think he's playing his best basketball yet.

I think I remember a coach trying to implement Oats style of play in the NBA ( May have been Patino ) and it was a disaster with the grueling NBA schedule - length of season and so few off days - just burns players out.

Alabama Basketball Looking to Find Its Stroke Inside Hinkle Fieldhouse Versus UCLA (SI)

Shaka to Marquette. Interesting

Congratulations to Marquette on your incoming lottery picks and first round tournament losses.

Could cause some crazy chain reaction.
I would guess Texas goes after Beard first if that happens.

So will Texas go after Chris Beard?
Or is the Shaka to Marquette, Cal to Texas, Beard to UK rumors gonna come true

Twitter is saying Texas actually helped Shaka get the Marquette job. I think both sides were done with each other

That’s another thought that I hadn’t fully considered. Our guys play 2 games per week for four months during the regular season, maybe a little more during tournaments. NBA players are playing almost double that during a normal regular season, 3.5 games per week for 6 months. Plus travel days, workouts, etc.
I don’t think it entirely excuses the complete lack of defense in the league, but it’s definitely a consideration. The NBA is offensively oriented right now, so it doesn’t really make sense to kill your team on defense.
As it relates to Alabama basketball, Oats would figure it out and adjust to the style of play, I’m sure.

When Alabama beats UCLA, I’m going to find my stroke inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. Hopefully, I won’t get arrested.

Now that would be wild. Also bizarre. UK moving from Cal to Beard would be....I don't even know. Like I think he's a better Xs and Os guy than Cal but the cultural and personality fit just isn't there.

It should also be cold water in the face of Texas that their meddling is destroying their athletics but they will explain it away as usual. Toxic boosters are killing UT. Pardon me if I don’t shed a tear.

The audacity of fans of other schools to just think Oats leaves Bama if they want him.
Bama will pay whatever they have to to keep him

Cal isn’t leaving Kentucky.
A lot of people do think Beard will go to Texas now.

Bama Film Room - Ram Ghost Exit
My gosh this is a beautiful offensive set and execution
- Ghost screen to get Petty a step
- Shack does a baseline run to corner
- Petty attacks rim with a step, which causes Shack's defender to momentarily help
- Herb steps in to set a screen
- Open corner 3
Chef's. Kiss.
