Yep, think it was Ritter. Texas turned it over a ton and Abilene is the best in the country at turning people over.

UCLA is pretty good with the ball. Without that dunno how Abilene will score.

Which really doesn't make a ton of sense considering the experience of their guard play, they had that issue all year.

The worst play in basketball: the post flop.

This is an entertaining game, outside of that. Oklahoma is playing pretty well, and Gonzaga is Gonzaga.

Close. Cam Thomas’ 3-point flop after every shot is worse.

While we're at it, I also don't like the pump fake and then jump into the defender move.

And I don't mean jump up, but jump forward and into.

To be fair, that's more of an epidemic in the pros than college. The post flop is a legit college move.

I don’t know if I said it in here, but I thought they had a shot because Shaka’s half court offense isn’t too Smart (pun intended).

Like you said I think they have no shot tonight. I think UCLA may beat them by 20 or 30.

Abilene’s coach looks like Boom, and their team plays like the best Boom teams - which is tenacious defense and inept offense.

Pippen and Thomas are both horrible about doing this. To me, if you pump fake and get a guy off his feet but then move outside of your "cylinder" to initiate contact with him that should just be a play on situation.

Tuned in late, and I agree, but it appears Gonzaga is benefitting from some calls and no-calls going their way.

I thought that they did do something about this a few years ago.

But, yeah, they jumping into defenders just because they are off the ground thing needs to be stopped. It's bush-league.

Random thought: I wonder if Hurley having played and scouted Maryland in the 1st round will be able to help Coach Oats on such a short turnaround, since they have a connection.

Right now it's looking like Oregon vs Gonzaga is going to be an amazing Elite 8 game.

Gonzaga are great to watch. The tempo, the ball movement, etc.

I don't know if Oats has ever really had a real post up guy, but I don't see why he couldn't incorporate a guy like Timme. A big that can run the floor and get early post position - the guy seems to be in incredible shape. Just spread the floor around him with 4 shooters like Gonzaga does.
