Didn't think about that, but yeah - pretty cool. Different times I hope.

What the hell?? What kind of beat writer calls attention to players for using the wrong word by putting it in quotes in the title and article itself? I heard it during the press conference too but can't imagine writing an article using it. Has anyone seen Joey Blackwell's work before? Hopefully this is not his normal approach to an article.

Just chatted with Louisville native and Alabama senior walk-on Tyler Barnes. His Crimson Tide face Rick Pitino and Iona on Saturday.
Barnes had this message: "Tell all the Louisville people you know that, with Louisville and Kentucky out, they can cheer on Alabama."

Barnes and Alabama have been in the Indianapolis bubble since late last night. He said he's only left his room once today — to get COVID tested — and that his meals are dropped off at the door to his hotel room. Spent the day studying and watching Hulu.

Has anyone heard anything from the ticket office about first weekend ticket sales? I could easily spend Friday through Monday in Indy and catch the first two rounds, and the University ticket prices I’ve seen posted here seem extremely reasonable, but the secondary market tickets are crazy. Just wondering if anything official has come out since I’ve got crickets on my end.

Prohm was on our short list to replace Avery, correct?
Or at least one of a few that fans wanted

Thankfully I don't think he was anywhere near Byrne's list.
But yea his name came up because of his connection as an alum. His name came up when we hired Avery, too, when he was at Murray.

I think most everyone in this thread talked about how meh hiring Prohm would be. Not sure there was a big backing for him here at least.

Yep - that's how I remember it, at least. I'm sure the receipts are lying around here somewhere.
If I remember correctly the names we all discussed the most were Matta, Pitino, Forbes (well me really) and.........I don't really remember who else. Prohm was pretty quickly shut down. Hoiberg came up early but it became clear quickly he was going to Nebraska. Oats name came up a few times because he was a hot name, but he really wasn't floated much until Cecil said "It's Nate Oats".
- Matta
- Pitino
- Forbes
- Prohm (but not positively)
- Hoiberg
- John Brannen a little bit
- Beilen's son
- Buzz was pretty heavily thought to be going to A&M early and often
- Andy Kennedy came up a few times
Oh and how can I forget, the white whale, Billy Donovan.

Ticket requests were due today and fulfillment notifications go out tomorrow. I believe they only offered current season ticket holders who purchased tickets this year. It’s feasible that they could expand the offer if not enough fans request - but if it was like regular season tickets, people bought them up to sell on the secondary market for outrageous prices.
