I don’t know if Providence is any good, but nothing beats watching us beat the hell out of a basketball school. That was blue collar basketball tonight.

So what do we think about Quinerly?

My very lukewarm take so far is he does some good things and some not so good things.

His turnovers seem to be concentration issues.

Yep! I'll take it! 2-1 tournament. Much improved in all areas coming out of it.

Other than a bad first two minutes and dicking around for a little stretch in the 2nd half, we dominated them on the boards, hustling, and shooting. That’s who we need to be each night.

We’ve already seen both faces of this team. There will be some more Stanford nights ahead but hopefully more nights like tonight.

They're good and they're tough, and we out toughed them.

Helluva good night.

He isn’t Kira but he is still pretty good. I think he will be amazing next year at the 2 with JD running point

Jury’s still out for me. Herb tonight had more points, more boards, more assists, and more steals than Q. He also had more turnovers and I have no desire to have Herb running the point for long stretches. Quinerly has been good but his contributions have been mostly things that don’t show up on the stat sheet. We could use a little more in the way of tangible numbers from him.

He’s way too small to play the 2

Primo off the bench tied Petty with 16 for high scorer. Primo surprised me a little in that he didn’t look completely comfortable at the FT line. He seemed to struggle with his stroke a little there. But it’s going to be hard to keep him off the floor much longer.

We're going to be really, really tough to beat when we do this.

Now THAT was a fun game! That’s exactly how we expected Bama to look heading into this season. Now if we can get on a little roll before SEC play starts, that would be great.

We are off until 12/12 when we play in Atlanta against Clemson for Holiday Hoopsgiving.

Clemson is 3-0 with a game against Maryland on 12/9 before playing us.

I would expect Clemson to be favored.
