Mizzou playing well early against Oregon. Up 32-19.

Saw where Will Richardson from Oregon suffered a finger injury in practice this week and will be out for like 6 weeks.

Big blow for them.

So what do we think about Quinerly?

My very lukewarm take so far is he does some good things and some not so good things.

His turnovers seem to be concentration issues.

His best game was our first game. Anyone else feel that he would ideally be a better sixth man than starting PG?

Just watched a couple minutes. Looks like Mizzou is dominating everything in that game right now.

Just watched the damn Jimmy V speech again. Hate watching it every year, but can never seem to turn it off when I see it. Was really an excellent speech for the shape he was in.

It's one of those things a natural cynic like me wants to roll my eyes at continually getting play, but then you watch it and you realize it's truly something worth celebrating and using as a battlecry every year.

Providence doesn't just get manhandled, either. That's a program built on old school East Coast toughness.

100% agree. I'm typically a big hater on things like that, but he really did a wonderful job delivering the speech. And then you realize he died like 6 weeks later and and you can't kelp but appreciate the message and his strength to get through it the way he did. I don't ever seek it out, but when it finds me I almost feel a duty to watch it.

Nate Oats on Alex Reese: “I thought Reese was great tonight. Came in — not just making shots, that doesn’t concern me as much with him. I know he’s going to make some shots, miss some shots other games. It was his defense. I thought he did the best job on Nate Watson."

Nate Oats said Herb Jones won the hard hat award tonight. He won it against UNLV and Jacksonville State, too.

Oats believes Herb Jones can get a triple-double this season because of his improved scoring.

Nate Oats says he wants to give Juwan Gary more minutes after he blocked a shot late in the game tonight on a hustle play.

“That’s the kind of player we want out there, that’s going to play hard, give an effort — no matter how much we’re up or down."

Are those some of Reese's minutes?
