I can't think of anything that miles does better than Ellis

He's wild and erratic right now, but before he's done at Bama I think he'll do everything on offense better than Ellis. He's a lot more skilled and athletic than I expected. That's not a knock on Ellis. I like him too, and I think he'll be even better next year

It’s strange that Miles wasn’t being recruited very hard for having good size, athleticism, and a nice looking shot. He exceeded my expectations tenfold for him when he’s gotten some PT. With that being said, Ellis is the better player for our team right now and I don’t think it’s close.

Just communicated with Rick Barnes of @Vol_Hoops who faces @SEC champs @AlabamaMBB & he is concerned about interior play since veteran John Fulkerson will not play . In 1st meeting Bama won as Pons was in foul trouble . Pons must have big game today to beat Bama .

Have we gotten official word on Primo?

If what we heard Yesterday is true I’m guessing he is out for the rest of this tournament and will probably be back by Friday

just play D like yesterday, everything else will work out.

That was some "fresh legs" defense. Imo, we should be able to come back like that today. Our starters got some good bench time.

I have not seen anything official. I'm sure Nate will be asked about that before the game today, so hopefully we learn something other than "he's out today".

Yeah, I agree. I think Nate said JQ was the only guy that played 19+ minutes yesterday and he finished with 20 so fatigue should certainly not be an issue.

Some “insiders” on BOL and Rivals posted it wasn’t serious but might not play the rest of this weekend

This is what Harper posted on Rivals. He is pretty reliable on stuff like this.

#14 I was told it is not as bad as originally thought. Availability this weekend is still up in the air but could be available.

Western Kentucky is sitting at 80 in the NET. They take on North Texas (62 in NET) for the CUSA Tournament Championship tonight.

It would be nice if they can win that game and move up another five spots and move that loss into a Q2.

It probably doesn't matter all that much for our seeding, but it certainly wouldn't hurt and it would take our only Q3 loss off of our resume.

Yeah, I'll just not pay attention to that game. I'm not pulling for a Stansbury coached team.

Per the ESPN boxscore:

JQ 22
Ellis 20
Petty 19
Primo 19
Shack 18
Herb 17
Miles 16
Gary 14
Rojas 14
Bruner 13
Reese 10

These dudes should be just as fresh as if they just practiced yesterday and didn't play a game. Hopefully we get off to another quick start like yesterday.

Would be fantastic if that is the case.

Fingers crossed that he can be at least 90% by round two of the NCAAT.
