Jim quit basketball when they let the "others" start playing

Yep - I mean that's how (I assume) we all grew up playing ball. Pressing, beating the press, having to physically bring the ball up through contact and traps.

It sucks that it is basically extinct. I miss that way more than 16 footers and boring entry passes to the post.

I would have loved to just casually walk up the court with the ball or only having to worry about getting open once the ball reached half court.

Apparently, we played a whole bunch of folks today. Did y’all see anyone that could possibly “fill” in for Primo? What happened when Primo went down? I missed so damn much

Ole Rutledge and his dang brother were a curse unless you could outrun them. Plus I was their friend As a white kid, they respected me because we played vid games together, and I was quicker than they were

Rod is a class act and never cared about race.

Keon Ellis is gonna get more playing time for sure if Primo is out. I think Ellis starts in place of Primo and takes his minutes and JQ stays the 6th man.

I didn't play in a DI basketball rich area/region (played 6A when that was the highest classification in the state, my school is now 7A after the state made changes several years ago, but long after I was gone), although I played with/against my fair share of guys that got schollies to D1/D2 basketball programs.

I did play with/against a ton of guys that were SEC/P5/D1 college football scholarship players that were not really all that skilled as basketball players, but they were big, fast, strong, physical as hell and would literally beat the shite out of you for driving to the bucket or trying to bang down low for boards. I wasn't a small guy, but I also wasn't a "big" dude either at 6'3" 200 lbs. I was big enough to be expected to get down there and do something, but also way too thin and weak to do anything with a guy that's 6'5" 285.

I remember playing Jeff Davis from Montgomery in the playoffs one year and I swear to god the shortest guy in their starting five was 6'6", not even kidding. Those dudes were throwing alley oops to each other in warmups and beat us by something like 50 points.

I would think about starting Miles in Primo's place and leave everything else (JQ and Ellis) the same. They are similar in size and shooting skill and maybe Miles can be "shepherded" for a while. Miles is a better passer and is fearless but more raw.

Of course this is all moot since Primo is OK.

Lots of Twitter rumors that Livers for Michigan broke his foot. Nothing certain yet, but that would be a huge blow for them if true.
