Carl isn't as slow or athletically cursed as Moussa from what I could tell, but both of them have the body types of guys who are traditional half court offense, back to the basket bigs. Unfortunately, neither of them have an ounce of offensive talent. Moussa can barely rebound. Carl can't rebound to save his life because his hands are made of stone.
I kind of like the idea of a guy like Hale at the 5. Go with a small lineup something like:
Hale
Pollard
Levi
Retin
Releford
You could run all day with that group, if Grant actually lets them pick up the pace.

Would love this, if:

Imagine that full court press too

I may be reading too much into it, but based on those quotes I don't think he will be escaping Joisey.

I didn't read it like that. I mean, Zagoria is a northern based writer so his article would be catered toward Seton Hall.

I really didn't get anything from the article. It was pretty much just recruit speak. The only real difference between Seton Hall and Alabama in the article was Sina answering a question about Gibbs.

Everything I've read says Northwestern will likely hire Duke assistant Chris Collins. I don't know whether that helps or hurts their chances with Sina.

Now Alex Kline is saying he told him it's wide-open...

I'm assuming that means he's wide open to each of these 3 schools.

Kid waiting for the Tourney to be over with so he can get that big offer for Indiana

This is what Kline DM'd me: He told me that Zagoria put it in a bad perspective so this one is more accurate I guess lol

That's what I would think too, but he certainly worded it weirdly.
Posted on 3/26/13 at 10:54 am to Bryant91092
So he is really wide-open?

He's waiting for NW to hire a coach.

No clue. I normally think Kline just jacks info from other people. I asked him where he thought Sina would end up and he said purchase a subscription for his analysis

Suttles had an update on a juco guard named Desmond Lee. I guess we are really desperate to get a guard in this period.

I don't want a damn JUCO guard. Anyways here is his HS ESPN scouting report:
His profile did say he was in the 2009 class though so maybe he'd only have 1 year of eligibility, which in that case I wouldn't mind.
quote:
Desmond is an outstanding two-sport athlete that has good size and strength. The tools he uses very effectively as his high schools football quarterback are the same he brings to the court: leadership, toughness, and competiveness. Desmond has good quickness and solid ball handling ability. He plays with a good IQ but has a tendency to over dribble and play out of control at times. Offensively he can knock down the 3, but he is a streaky shooter. He is a tremendously strong driver and does a very good job in drawing contact and finishing above the rim. Although he is playing various positions for his high school team, his versatility will allow him to play either guard position in college. Defensively, Des is as tough as they come. He is physical and enjoys the challenge. He does a very good job of closing out on shooters while containing dribble penetration, which allows him to equally defend any of the three perimeter positions at the mid major level. He plays with high intensity and always gives an all out effort. His defensive play on the ball sets the tone for team defense and helps create scoring opportunities. What he lacks in some areas will not take away from his overall game, a solid four-year contributor.

It truly makes me giddy to to consider what Sina could do for this team. Y'all keep the inside scoops coming, lol. Hopefully someone will post an optimistic report, lol. Sure would have been nice if we had made it to the garden. Could have stopped by and visited him again. So are we out on Severe now? The New York connection with him could have possibly helped with Sina maybe. We need to be all in on this kid. His basketball smarts are what this team desperately needs IMO. We'll have 3 seven footers next year, a senior PG, a strong junior nucleus and 2 freakishly athletic sophomores. I'm not interested in JC players either
