Here is a free Seton Hall article on Sina: LINK
Maybe it's a good thing we are in the NIT?
Grant's got to sell us as a shite team.
quote:
Sina is looking for the same qualities in a school that drew him to Northwestern: a close relationship with the coaching staff and a place he feels he fits. Sina already has formed a bond with Seton Hall assistant coach Dan McHale, who has recruited him his entire high school career. Furthermore, the Pirates’ recent woes don’t scare him.
“That was one of my main reasons I wanted to go to Northwestern, I wanted to help build something,” Sina said. “That’s something I did in high school. I look at it more as a challenge.”

Damn the whole staff. We really need this kid but I doubt he goes to far from home.

I wonder how often our whole staff goes

Seton Hall is also visiting with him in the morning before our visit. Just an opening act for the Beatles.

@eldonadam: Alabama commit Shannon Hale wins the 3-Point Contest. Versatile 6-8 forward with a smooth stroke.

I've always wanted a 4 that could really shoot. He's not as big as Murphy but he could definitely play the 4 in our system (obligatory do we have a system comments)
Would be nice if he could come right in and help us next year. Without having seen any film of either, it definitely seems like he would be much more ready to help offensively than Taylor.

A 6'8 guy that could shoot 33% or better from deep really stretches the defense. I'm really excited about him. I don't think he'll come in and be a stud, but I expect a bigger impact than Pollard has had. I also expect Pollard to be a big asset next year too though. Taylor should help with blocking shots and the occasional dunk. If he gave us 4 points again, that'd be great. Then if we got Sina to be our backup PG who we could also use like Releford off the ball some, I'd really like our team next year.

Think there is any chance Sina commits today?

I wouldn't think so unless our coaches blew his dad away. I bet he still wants to visit again before deciding.

As good as a 3 point shooter Hale is he is better at midrange. He will help us out big time next year. Hopefully!!!

Hale looks good. Tough to tell too much from Taylor there, but at least they both look athletic. I don't see any point in bitching about our bigs at this point, it's a broken record, but one of the reasons Florida Gulf Coast can play like they do (besides having a pass-first point guard) is that they have athletic bigs. They're not even really post threats, but they can run the floor. Our bigs are so un-athletic.

They play hard the whole game.

I don't really question our effort. We should play looser and faster to some degree, but we're not really set up to play like them - I would say mainly because our bigs are so lumbering (why we recruited the bigs we did is on Grant obviously). Also as much as I like Releford he's not really a set people up type of PG.
I do think our post guys improved as the season went on fwiw. Without a doubt. I feel much better about the post going into next season, especially considering we've added a couple guys and we theoretically get Carl back.
