We've got a lot of good players for 2014 that could come in when our team's nucleus will be seniors and make us a good team. We are in on a ton of talent. We've just gotta land a few. It'd be nice for someone to commit and get the ball rolling and start recruiting other guys.

i agree with u on the we play so hard on defense that it makes us sluggish on o. Thats why i think retin should be playing a lot. Dont know what he does in practice but ive seen nothing in game to make me say he shouldnt be out there.

If we land Justin Coleman and he can come in right away and play at a high level, the 2014-15 season should be a fun one. Even if we didn't land Coleman, losing Releford may hurt us a little with scoring, but it isn't like he provided much more at the PG spot than Lacey can.
A Coleman-Turman-Jackson class would be great and a very realistic kind of class. I'm afraid we might have chased away Hill and Staley with their visit the other day. They seemed less than impressed with the turnout.

I think we can bring in 5 in the 2014 class assuming no one transfers and we don't sign anyone late for the 2013 class.
Also, we should never have recruits come in for a game like that. Kentucky, Auburn, and maybe Tennessee. That's it.

Scout put Isaac Haas all the way up to 70 in their new top 100
Justin Coleman isn't in it. Turman was 100, and most every other person we're recruiting was somewhere in there.

Talent evaluators love anyone who is tall and moves well. He's a bit of a project, just like most bigs, but with some refinement he could be a good player. I wouldn't be upset if we signed him.

Scout's rankings are a joke in both sports.

Looks like Hill enjoyed his trip.

According to ESPN's interview with him, Ahmed Hill is averaging 33 points and 13 rebounds a game. UConn, Indiana, Texas, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Marquette, Kansas, NC State and Alabama are the specefic teams they list that are in the hunt for Hill. He hasn't taken any official visits, but has taken unofficial visits to NC State, Alabama and Florida. Hill said the 3 things he is looking for are a father-figure head coach (check), a place that feels like home (alright), and a great fan base (shite).

We need to start paying players

Yep. I am partially convinced that this is why we keep finishing 2nd for kids. Grant won't pay. The other school will.

Alabama, Kansas State and TCU will all watch 2013 JC guard Algie Key of Barton County CC tonight against Hutchinson CC

Of the 2 JUCO prospects we went after I wouldn't MIND a finisher like Key. The problem with that is the 2015 recruiting class will require 3 or 4 wings who can have an immediate impact.

I'd be fine with taking a juco PF or C but I don't get taking a guard unless it was Severe who would be a freshman.

I'd be perfectly fine with neither.

BTW Hale jumped back into ESPN's top 100 at 95. Jimmie Taylor at 71.

Im confused as to what we want and what CAG thinks we need. I mean are we just trying to add another wing or are we looking for a PG for this last spot?

I think a lot of us are. None of our players would have openly said they were going to transfer. They may decide to after the season, but that's not something you tell the coach unless you aren't getting playing time. Every healthy person is playing a lot of minutes. So the argument about him planning if someone transfers doesn't really hold any truth in my opinion. It would make no sense to add a juco guard into a mix of all our 2011 guys being juniors as well.

Well im guessing he is thinking we need to replace Steele? Or next year we need someone to replace Releford and he doesnt want a young guy running the guard position. I really wish Reting could get more PT. He looks like he can play.
