Our coaches are going to watch this PG tomorrow: LINK

Kid looks good and is a true PG which is something we need. Still think Coleman is our PG for the future, but we do need a back-up.

Anyone got the recruiting roundup from tidesports?

I wish we wouldve went after Steve Haney Jr. We will end up with a athletic guy that doesnt know shite about the game of basketball but can shoot or is a freak athlete. We need a guy with a high basketball IQ.

I think he will wind up being a 2 guard for us.

Any idea who we are there for? Devin Mitchell is the only one I could see us having any interest in.

According to Dan McDonald, we are in 2014 Georgia PF Philip Cofer's top 5. We haven't offered but according to Cofer, we will once Grant watches him play/practice.
In late October, Cofer named Miami and Tennessee as the schools at the top of list. With the increased attention coming in from other schools, he's expanded that list to include a few more schools and now has a top five.
"I like Georgia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, Miami, and Alabama the most right now," Cofer revealed. "Alabama hasn't offered yet, but their assistant coach said they will when their head coach comes to see me play."

Dan said Devin Mitchell from Collins Hill is probably the main target. Maybe checking Brandon Goodwin and Andre Chatfield from Norcross

Cofer is 56th in ESPN's top 60. Has some very big and odd hair. Looks really athletic and seems like more of an above the rim guy. Highlights

Dan has him ranked as the 3rd best player in Georgia behind Gant and Ahmed Hill. He has Turman ranked 5th. We can't go wrong with either.

A guy on tidesports said he talked to Grant last night who said he'd been recruiting in Dallas County. If that's true, he was there to see William Lee for sure.

Id rather have Cofer than Turman. Mostly because his hair would elevate our swag factor to an 11.

I would like either. Just want a big man who actually goes and get the rebound.

I like both from what I've seen from the highlights and scouting reports. Swagger aside, I'd rather have Turman. We need rebounding and with his body-type and athleticism, that part of his game should definitely carry over well to the collegiate level.

@Future150EricH: Alabama offered 2014 Albertville (AL) SF Riley Norris today while he was on an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa

I assume he will probably sign with us? We needed another token white.

I have zero insider info on where Norris leans, but I doubt it. He's an academic kind of guy. He has Vandy written all over him.
