Said he narrowed the list to ten, but more importantly said he might visit us at the end of the month before he narrows it to five.

Yeah he'll have to visit for us to have any chance of making his top 5 IMO.

Played basketball with Trevor Lacey the other day in Huntsville. He has lost some weight and was really stroking it from deep and when I say deep I mean deep.
We are going to need him to be a big scorer this year and a lot more consistent.

@TheWolfpacker: Hampton (Va.) High senior point guard Anthony Barber will officially visit NC State on Sept. 1-3, and then Louisville will be next stop.

Cecil thinks we'll miss on both.

It's hard to know until after Williams visits and they both officially visit but it's not like he's going on a limb saying we won't get them.
ETA: I still think we get Barber though.

Ive heard people closer to his recruitment that thinks we lead. Its not really a bold prediction from Cecil though. If we don't land Barber, I don't see us landing Williams either. I think Williams is more concerned with playing with his AAU teammate than Barber is. Honestly all I care about is Barber's signature though, Williams would just be a great bonus.

I was in his chat.. He was guessing pretty much. Said that was his answer based on the wording of the question. Whatever that freakin means. I think he was saying if he had to bet, he'd just take Kansas or Louisville. And didn't give any definitive reasoning.

Translated: Kansas and Louisville are basketball schools, so it makes sense that two top recruits would favor them over a football first school like Alabama.
If Grant lands Barber I think there will start to be more confidence in us getting basketball recruits with a lot of options.

I think we get barber.

I think we do too. I'm hopeful he's saving our visit as his last one.

Tusc was right...Eblen is forgoing his senior year of eligibility.
This is from Cecil Hurt:
TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama senior guard Ben Eblen will forego his final year of basketball eligibility to concentrate on academics, The News has learned.
Eblen is on schedule to graduate from UA in December.
In three years, Eblen has played in 92 games at UA , starting twice. His primary role was backup point guard. In 2011-12, Eblen averaged 0.7 ppg in 29 games.
