Sitting pretty well for 5 top 30 players. Not bad.

I don't think Hale gets the respect he deserves but I don't watch all these other players like scouts do.

I asked the rivals guy if Barber was coming with Williams and he said he thinks it's only going to be Williams and his family.

Players like Hale never get the respect they deserve in rankings. For a big man they look at defense, rebounding, and post-scoring. Not that he is terrible at any of that, he just isn't standing out in those areas. He's a stretch 4 with a great shooting stroke, those usually fly under the radar. He's perfect for what we need.

Would've been nice if he could have come to help sell Williams, but Barber already has a good impression about us.

Markel Crawford committed to Memphis. I wonder if that impacts their recruitment of JaJuan Johnson at all.

icuplay is Ron Briscoe, who is a scout that has been covering recruiting in the south, specializing in Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, for the past 30 years or so. He is based out of Lafayette, La.
He is very credible.
However, he is a horrible writer and uses very bad grammer, so if you can ignore that, he usually has very good info.

I think Memphis will take Johnson as well.

Does anyone have an idea of what we want in this class? Do we want one of every position? Do we want 3 bigs, a SF, and a PG? I guess in an ideal scenario of taking one for every position it'd be Barber, Johnson, Williams, Hale and Taylor. If we were taking 3 bigs I'd want Martin or Jones to go along with the 2 bigs we already have.

I'd much rather have a 3rd big man than pick up a 2 guard. We've got a good bit of depth there right now, and I just feel like we don't in the post.
Maybe we can just allow Carl to graduate and stop playing after this season to open up another spot.

I personally think its just best available after we land a PG. But from a needs view point another PF might be ideal.

Jujuan Johnson, top 100 SG from Memphis, will be visiting Miami soon.
Johnson was thought to be a heavy Memphis lean, but Memphis accepted the commitment of Markel Crawford earlier this week. Jujuan Johnson got a little pissy about it and will be looking at Miami, Texas and Bama, as well as Memphis. Says Memphis is still in his list but not the favorites anymore and the Crawford commitment really "threw him for a loop".

Greg did an article with Roberson if anyone wants to do a synopsis.

Played basketball with Trevor Lacey the other day in Huntsville. He has lost some weight and was really stroking it from deep and when I say deep I mean deep.
