This email came a short while ago. They are closing the 2nd Ave bridge starting with this this game.
Parking and Shuttle Service Information
Parking Update: Please note that the 2nd Ave. bridge will be closed starting 2 hours prior to tipoff for home men's basketball games. Parking pass holders should plan to use Bryant Dr. to access the Coleman Coliseum parking lots.
Shuttle service is back! Fans coming to Alabama men's basketball games this season may park in the Fourth St. Soccer Lot free of charge and ride the Crimson Ride shuttle service over to the west Coliseum entrance. For Friday's game, service will start at 5:30 p.m. Please note, masks will be required for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, on Crimson Ride buses.
Fans are also encouraged take advantage of the free Capstone Deck off Second Ave. and walk over to the game. Open parking (no parking permit required) is available in the Capstone Parking Deck, Soccer Lot, University Medical Center/Student Health Center, Alabama Aquatics Center and in lots located along Fifth Avenue and Ninth Street.
Fans with a parking pass for a reserved lot are asked to download their mobile pass before leaving home to their phone's digital wallet. Parking passes will be issued electronically and available to access through the Alabama Crimson Tide mobile app or online at RollTide.com/MyAccount. Downloading the pass ahead of time will help speed up entry into the parking lot.

Why? I figured that new bridge would make it better to access the coliseum.
Is it too close?
Is it too close?

My guess (and it’s just a guess) is it’s too hard to route traffic around that intersection where the traffic light is into A and B lots AND to have through traffic at the same time. I’ll check the Tuscaloosa News tomorrow to see if there are more details. I’m curious to see if they shut it down in both directions or if they shut down just the northbound traffic from 15th street.

I know it is only one game but S. Dakota St. is shooting 97% from the foul line and 45% from three. They were 28-29 at the line and 9-20 from deep. Pretty strong numbers. Need our defense to close out on the shooters and be disciplined - can’t afford to put them at the line.

Exactly, I am trying to see if we can still defend somewhat like we did last season. We got to defend, rebound, and run.

again, download your tix to the apple wallet or your equivalent also before you get to the Coliseum. They will not transfer around the arena, too much traffic I guess. Hit the transfer button on my phone 100x and it never worked. Of coursed, they transferred over as soon as we left the arena after it was over.
Ala -11.5 S Dakota St.
Who loses the first non top 25 matchup in the SEC:
Robert Morris @ Kentucky
Charleston S @ Ole Miss
UL Monroe @ Auburn
Texas St @ LSU
Abilene Christian @ A&M
Princeton @ SCarolina

Do you have SECN through a cable/streaming provider? If so, you can enter your credentials into the Watch section of ESPN.com/ESPN app and watch it there.

#12 Alabama - 83
#96 South Dakota St - 70
SDSU plays pretty fast like we do. They were picked to win the Summit league (ahead of Oral Roberts). Good team.
