I don't think we should've had Vance bunt.

It didn’t work out in that particular instance, but it was the right call imo.

2 on with no outs in a tie game, you always drop the sac bunt there.

Vance just has to do a better job of keeping the ball on the ground.

I'm not saying it's a bad call, but with how good Vance is at getting the ball in play, I'd rather just have him swing.

It was definitely the by the book play, but as a group we didn't swing the bat well today and Cobie was an exception to that. I think I like him hitting there but a double play really screws you so I get the call. Plus Valpo had just botched a bunt defense so make them do it again. I can see both sides, but Cobie may be our best hitter and I don't really care for bunting those guys.

Not Domingo Ayala. He would just hit a double.

Put it in the W column and move on. We scratched out a win against a mediocre opponent. I’ve got a feeling we’ll be trying to scratch out a lot of close ones this year. As long as we’re getting better I’ll take it.

Holcombe hits a bomb. 9-6 Tide.

He could be a baseball pro if he went full time for it.

Praytor follows with a line drive single, and Valpo is making another pitching change. Praytor is now 3-4 on the day.

9-6 Tide. One out. Bottom 6th.

Getting a 3 game sweep is always solid, no matter who the opponent is. Nice start.

MTSU (3-0) picked 2nd to last in CUSA. Swept Western Illinois this weekend.

Washington State (0-3) picked last in the P12. Lost 2 to nebraska, 1 to UC-Riverside and is currently losing 5-1 to UC-Riverside in the 5th.

Be nice to win 3 of 4 and get off to a 6-1 start.
