My Gawd.. They killed AAMU 15-0. I knew AAMU Baseball team was that bad, but they can't be that bad... I live in Huntsville, and *sighs* it is what it is.

I went to high school with AAMU's baseball coach. It has been pretty rough these past 4 years and they've already had a stretch where they have lost 9 in a row this year. I'll always hope he turns it around, but it doesn't look good right now.

15-0 and 14-0 wins in the midweek series versus Alabama A&M. Heading into SEC play against Georgia with a 15-3 record.
Alabama won 14 non-conference games TOTAL in 2017. 19 overall wins.

No great OOC opponents but that doesn't matter. Incredibly encouraged by our consistent effort each game.
However, let's not all get pissy when we go 4 games under .500 in the SEC.

Certainly an opportunity to start 4-2 in SEC play. Georgia and Tennessee to start. Then Kentucky comes calling. That’s the first big test.

And looking at Texas right now, did Alabama luck out in not hiring Pierce two years ago? He’s been underwhelming at UT so far. And Garrido didn’t leave some huge mess for him.
Goff sucked but missing on Pierce and enduring one year of suck to get Bohannon may turn out to be huge once he has a couple of his own signing classes.
