Team BA is 271. I will let the experts determine what this means since we have not gotten into SEC play yet. I have heard that batting is ahead of hitting in the early part of the season as the weather gets warmer and the arms have had time to get in the groove. I cant seem to find the team pitching stats on Rolltide but I assume it would be under 3. I think RI will be a better team once they get into conference play. They did win their conference last year.

Playtime is over. Bama heads to Hattiesburg to face Southern Miss Tuesday at 6 pm. Then off to Texas for the Frisco Classic next weekend.

A few years ago USM played a new pitcher every inning and shut us down good. It seems they are doing the same thing tonight

down bigly. Playing our first team with a pulse on the road and down 12-4. We barely beat Samford the other day 3-2 and an SEC beat the brakes off them the other day.

Wouldn’t read too much into this one. Mid-week game on the road against a team that will likely be a national seed come tournament time.
The good thing about the absolute gauntlet that is the SEC is that you have ample opportunity to recover.

They’re pitching Johnny wholestaff so we should score some more runs but yea, we don’t hit it particularly well and we don’t pitch it particularly well and we don’t field particularly well. This is a bad baseball team with 3-4 SEC level starters and the best shortstop in college baseball.
