I will give Vaughn a little slack since he came into a dumpster fire of a situation. This is his second year but if we don’t have better quality by next year , then he has to shoulder the blame . I think he is an excellent coach for us though

I believe he is a fantastic offensive coach. I hope we go into the offseason with a clear focus on finding the pitching depth. That is what separates us from the top tier in this conference. In saying that, I'm absolutely thrilled that we are where we are given our history over the last 20 years or so. I remember when we struggled to just get to double digit conference wins and it wasn't that long ago. I think we are on the right path, it's just hard to be patient when we see how successful this conference has been for everyone.

He and the team deserved crowds better than what we gave them this year. To be close to 40 wins with what we have arm wise is an excellent year IMO. Thank god he held onto LeBron ( hope he does again) and hopefully we can get/ use some NIL to help land some pitching for next year . Pretty good signing class is coming.

You're not wrong. I don't know what we need to do to get fan enthusiasm for this sport. Seems like our fans only have bandwidth for a handful of sports and for whatever reason baseball is not one of them. Maybe it's the sport itself not being fast paced, but attending baseball games is much more fun than watching them on TV. Maybe we should go to local minor league games to see what they are doing to keep it entertaining.

We have traditionally drawn better than what we have lately especially since we have a good team with possibly the #1 overall draft pick to boot

I concur with the "bandwidth" analogy.
However, I know plenty of Alabama fans that, for example, only have season tickets in "other" sports. Mainly because of the love of that particular sport. Of which, considering how popular baseball in general is in this state, there is reasonable assumption we should have decent baseball crowds.
However, IMO, Alabama's biggest problem is that the stadium simply lacks any real charm.
Being located in a basketball coliseum parking lot does it no favors to boot.
Perhaps build a stadium overlooking the Bkack Warrior River would make it much more attractive.

Well that ship has long sailed unfortunately.

Sewell Thomas has a great vibe.

It would vibe a lot harder if it were full.

IMO it doesn’t look THAT far off from the others when it’s rock n rolling.

It would also help if the guys would win a meaningful series at home. I know they just won one, but we kinda sucked arse at home in conference.

8-7 with three of those coming over Missouri. Most of them weren’t very entertaining.

It took Oats a little bit of time to start winning consistently at home before fans really started showing up.

Love it when hometown papers cover the players. If only the Tuscaloosa News would cover the baseball team too…

It's absolutely imperative that they win 2 of 3 this weekend. Huge, huge series. Hopefully we wont have our game 1 meltdown.
