Don’t mean to be “that guy,” but you were the one saying our bullpen was quite good and used stats that were heavily skewed from the OOC slate to prove your point.
Other than our 6-0 sweeps of Mizzou and the only team to lose a game (much less a series) to Mizzou, we were averaging 1 win per SEC series. And that was all due to 2 bullpen arms that were used when winning. That’s how those stats came to pass.
Glad you see the light now, and I agree we need Adams to go deep in this one (hope the rain doesn’t mess that up).

I mean we’re going into game 3 without Myers and Ozmer. It’s not unrealistic to hope your starter (arguably best starter) goes a complete 7 innings.
You all act like we have a bunch of rejects in the pen incapable of getting an out.
I think we have enough talent in the pen, we just don’t know how and when to use it.

Hosting implications aside. It would be great to get another series win to get our guys some confidence before the NCAA’s.

The 2 games prior to today’s win seem to suggest this is correct. Blowing a 5 run lead by giving up 7 runs in the last 2 innings and losing 19-3 in back to back SEC games doesn’t suggest talented arms that are being misused IMO.

We got absolutely fricked in Game 3 vs Vandy and I will die on that hill.
We, for whatever reason, don’t use Myers on Fridays.
I don’t know why we don’t use him for an inning or two on Fridays so we can use him again Sunday. We just don’t. Vaughn/JJ likes the way it looks with him relieving Quick.
There is no reason for Fay to ever see a 5th inning.
We do not have three quality weekend starters.
We pitch backwards on the weekends.
Vaughn lets the chips fall wherever they fall on Fridays and takes his chances with Saturdays and Sundays.

We don’t pitch him Fridays because we’re almost always losing as that’s a sacrifice game against the other team’s ace.
Saturday has been the game we typically win (largely due to Quick), so that’s why we use him there and not Friday/Sunday.
We tried to use him again on Sunday against Vandy for the exact reason that you seem to deny…our other arms just don’t have it. Coach had seen enough of the rest of the pen and tried to squeeze one more inning out of him.

Yeah, the excitement for 1-0 was assuming we’d plate at least 1 more. Definitely disappointing and a bit of a momentum shift. Need Adams to get it back with clean inning.

I guess Lebron was trying to tag from 2nd base on a ball hit to left field or some shite. He should have been almost to third when the ball hit the ground and was kickee around for 15 seconds.
