I don't think I have. You wanted to compare Ben Hess' performance in limited action in High-A ball to his performance at Alabama and extrapolate that it means Jackson is no good because currently Hess' numbers are better. I have demonstrated that professional career numbers can equally be utilised to show that Jackson is a good coach. Although such is not really true, 1. Development after college is mainly based on a player's individual work, especially with individualised traininers like Tread Athletic and others that scientifically measure players and develop very individualised programs. 2. Work with sports psychologist to improve the mental game. 3. Players SHOULD get better as they progress. They grow and learn. They learn how batters think and most of all, they develop new pitches. I should hope that guys would become better than they were in college.

As for Alan Dunn. He's nearly 65 and not even coaching anymore.

both teams have blown their starter so it looks like it is going to be a BP kind of day and this does not bode well for Bama unless we throw Myers and Banks and a few others. I have not looked at the 19-3 box score so I have no clue who we threw but I would hope it was the bottom of the heap kind of guys and not our good BP guys

Eich pitched the first game and got roughed up. Seems a number of runs were not earned with out BP. Our starter got hit hard after I left for my friday night date night

GA had 14 ERs in the blowout. 6 off Fay. 8 off Heiberger, Morris, and Alcock.

I doubt the weather breaks long enough to start play again today.

Looks like we will have an early first pitch on Sunday and then try to get 7 innings in immediately after.

Anywho, here’s our conference pitching ranked by ERA over the last 5 years (as far back as the SEC website would go).

2025 13
2024 11
2023 1 (Hollywood outlier year)
2022 9
2021 10

Oh, man. That’s not good. Those guys are not our worst bullpen guys.

Baseball is strange. Georgia may have used up all their runs for the weekend in one game.

I was there. Heiberger was put in a bad situation and then wouldn't throw strikes. Alcock was Batting Practice.

Fay looked great and then it fell apart. IMO Torres cost him. He's a terrible 3B and was out of position on two hits. (Which I guess is coaching)

Also GA is obnoxious and unbearable.

Fay threw less than 20 pitches combined in the 3rd and 4th innings. Then he comes out for the 5th and couldn’t throw it in the ocean!

It must be nice to have studs like “L”su, TN, etc who go out there 7,8,9 innings with 100 pitches.
4-5 innings seem to be Bama’s ceiling. Then it’s multiple choice with no good answers.

I still say if the atmosphere was comparable to some other SEC teams, it would be easier to get some top flight pitching

With of course, NIL

I would guess morning since they will try to play a 2nd game ( possibly 7 innings ?) after the completion
