Good midweek win.

Good last inning to head into conference play.

Bullpen did its job, other than Moza. Assuming he will be reserved for mop up duty this weekend.

Oh wow. Is that just for baseball? I had never heard of this before.

They have the weirdest traditions.

It was a pretty impressive crowd for a Tuesday night game in downtown Birmingham. The Tide was well represented. For the second year in a row, the stadium was absolutely filthy. Seats were covered in some sort of splatter and needed to be cleaned before you could sit down. Concession stand started running out of basics in the first inning. No programs or roster cards to be found. Not a great fan experience - can’t believe UAB puts up with that (although they probably aren’t in a power position when it comes to renting Regions). The experience wasn’t helped by Bama’s inability to drive in runs while giving up cheap runs. Glad Bama finally pulled it out. On to conference play.

The SI write ups from last night’s game:

Feels to me like they have too talented a roster to not figure things out. Hoping that happens in 3 weeks and not this weekend.

If Adams and Quick can give us a chance (5-7 IP) on the mound , I feel like we will put some runs on the board but the bullpen concerns me at this point . Maybe it will improve

I figure A&M will be a slight favorite each game. I am trying to get familiar with the rest of the SEC teams. So far I've kept up most with LSU & A&M.

I did end up watching the uab game last night.

It’s going to be in a hostile/loud environment and TAMU gets a chance to “start their season over” this weekend after a poor start to the year.

I have a feeling they’re going to throw a lot of punches this weekend.

As SOG said, it’s good we are getting them Week 1 and not 7-8 when they will probably be making a run.

Really I'd be happy, like with almost all road series, getting out of there without getting swept. If you can find a way to win 1 game in all your road series you are going to be in good shape at the end of the year.

We are Alabama baseball diehards. The team is 17-1. We are waiting for the other shoe to drop, and most years it is a lead boot right onto our heads.

That’s the damn truth. This is normally the series where one of our starting pitchers gets a season-ending injury.

Who is doing the best right now. Let’s see, yes. Zane Adams. Poor guy is about to blow out his elbow.
