Yep - how do you not even get a glove on a Sunday hop?!?! An All-Star little league shortstop makes that play 9 out of 10 times.
And I also question taking Fay out. He was only at about 70 pitches and should have been out of that inning right there. The next two hitters just hit seeing eye ground balls that squeaked through.

I agree. Gotta score runs to win in the SEC. The team is what it is now. We gotta know that once starter is out other team will get a minimum of 5ish runs. Its not that the players are lacking focus or the pitching coach is bad. You just have to have very good to elite stuff to consistently shut down SEC hitters and we just average to decent arms(relative to all Cbb). Lets get the next two.

I really hope we see Brennen back at 2B and Staton DH.
Brennen has really struggled at the plate in his limited conference action but generally does not cost the team runs with his glove on the weekly basis.

Was Staton a 3rd baseman at Samford? He just doesn’t seem like a middle infielder by trade

Sully chewed his pitchers’ asses out last night on the mound and guess what, it worked.

Not sure there’s such thing as a “make up error,” but that felt like one. Hope we can find a way to win this one, but probably need at least 3-4 more runs.
