ALABAMA PULLS OFF EXTRAORDINARY COMEBACK, WIN CBC WITH 12-10WALK-OFF VICTORY
Hodo home run wins thriller for Crimson Tide
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Down 10-0 in the fourth inning, the Alabama Crimson Tide capped an incredible comeback with Will Hodo’s walk-off three-run home in a 12-10 victory that claimed the Jacksonville College Baseball Classic championship on Sundayfrom VyStar Ballpark.
The rally began with Ohio State (1-5) ahead 10-0 in the bottom of the fourth. After a ground out, Brady Neal and Richie Bonomolo Jr. each drew a walk before Justin Lebron drilled a three-run shot to cut things to 10-3.
The Crimson Tide (8-0) continued their charge in the seventh. Brennen Norton led off the inning with a double. Three batters later, Bonomolo Jr. singled Norton in. After Bryce Fowler singled, Lebron smashed another three-run long ball to pull Alabama within 10-7.
An inning later, Hodo walked and Norton singled with one out. Kade Snell drew the Crimson Tide to within one at 10-9 with a two-run double down the right field line. Neal followed with a walk to put the potential tying and go-ahead runs on. However, Buckeyes reliever Luke Carrell struck out both Bonomolo Jr. and Fowler to end the threat.
In the ninth, Coleman Mizell and Jason Torres each drew one-out walks. Hodo followed by smashing a three-run bomb off Ohio State reliever Nik Copenhaver (0-2) to win it for Alabama, 12-10.
The Buckeyes jumped on the Crimson Tide in the third. Reggie Bussey singled with two outs and no one on. After a walk to Trey Lipsey, Lee Ellis blasted a three-run home run for the game’s first runs.
Matthew Graveline jump started the fourth with a base hit. After a fly out, consecutive walks to Marc Stephens and Nick Giamarusti loaded the bases. Following a strikeout, scored on a wild pitch. Bussey then drove in two with a base hit to make it 6-0. An error on a pickoff attempt advanced Bussey to second and then Lipsey walked. Ellis followed with an RBI single and Tyler Pettorini blasted a three-run homer to widen the gap to 10-0.

Aidan Moza seems to be getting his groove back and Tuscaloosa’s own Tate Robertson both helped stop the hemorrhaging and made the comeback possible.

@AlabamaBSB might still pull this out, and if they do, the efforts of
@Aidan_moza24 and @taterobertson03 calming down what was a drunk game thru 4 and holding the Bucks to goose eggs the rest of the way (to this point) will have been a big factor.

The graphic color scheme is suboptimal but the results are beautiful.

They should be apologizing for doing something so cool.

Is Seatgeek the only way to buy suite tickets of a baseball game?

I noticed after the game winner there was some choppiness displayed against Ohio St dugout. What I know about how baseball has “evolved” over the years I wouldn’t be surprised that Ohio state guys were chirpy all day. I hate how douchey this game has gotten

That’s what baseball is for sure but maybe it has always been two dugouts full of pricks? They definitely don’t hide it anymore.

Exactly. Tennessee has been nothing but arse holes for the past four or five years and all it got them was a CWS Title.
Sick of playing nice.

If you’re referring to.525 or home plate clubs, then yes, seat geek or some other ticket site. Those sections have high contribution requirements (like one time $12,000) just to get to buy season tickets and pay Tide Pride each year.
The skybox suites have an even higher contribution requirement ($18,000 a season plus tickets and Tide Pride when they first opened) and have historically been sold out (even though folks sitting in them is not common). If you’re interested in getting a skybox for a game the ticket office might (might) get you in touch with someone willing to rent it for a game. .
