I hope it's the Cardinals. They are the only team in Arizona worth our time in playing.

Playing Arizona is 450x better than playing MTSU or Ball State as our #2 OOC game, which we currently do.

I’ve really wanted Alabama to add home and home series with nebraska and Washington. Hopeful that they could be worked in too.

Boston College, NC State, Stanford, and Colorado are others I’d like to see.

I like it. No neutral site games after 2021 sounds good to me. On campus games are the best

So many great road trips in there too

Texas, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and then a place like Tucson is a really neat trip......with a couple easy drive games in there too (FSU, USF, Georgia Tech).

Byrne has done a helluva job. Programs like Arizona are exactly the types of programs I used to bring up for #2 P5 OOC games.

I wonder if Bama is anticipating an 8 team playoff where a 2 loss team with a tough schedule gets in

I mean, four of those games are scheduled for over a decade from now. Saban will almost certainly have been retired for at least 3 or 4 years by then, probably more, and who knows where the program will be at that point. I doubt playoff implications had much of anything to do with it. It's about maintaining attendance numbers in the future. People will show up to watch us play Wisconsin, FSU, or Oklahoma regardless of how good we are. They are showing up less and less to watch us play Central Michigan, FIU, or North Texas.

Holy shite. Was beginning to think we would never do this with a Pac12 school. Hopefully this is just the start.

Washington would be fricking awesome. Would buy a ticket for that road trip on day 1.

Of course our schedules start to get better as we're about to quit getting season tickets.

Pretty sure we've never played them before, there's lots of PAC12 schools we haven't ever played.

Could not agree more. Love it. Instead of a DIII pushover, a P5 middleweight is great. Plus, adds some nice road trips.

I wonder if the change in scheduling strategy is somewhat driven by the all but certain expansion of the playoffs to at least 8 teams?

Right now, losing an OOC game and conference game in the same season is pretty much the kiss of death. If it goes to 8 teams with conference champs guaranteed a spot then having a strong OOC schedule becomes a huge plus if you're needing a wildcard.
