DeMeco makes less than 5 million per year.

If Byrne didn't start a shortlist the day he hired Kalen, then he isn't planning very well.

JMO but I don't see Kalen going with Go Blue. I believe they are stalling and will hire Minter even with that show cause. They showed they had no regard to the NCAA with Harbaugh and Moore so hiring MInter will be easy.

I’d go after Cignetti. Make him an offer he can’t refuse. I know he is older but if you can buy five years and plan for that window and begin lining things up for his replacement you can mitigate the damage of DeBoer leaving.

He’d be my first choice and Lanning would be my second but I don’t think he would even consider leaving Oregon but I’d at least make him think about it. Bama has to get over the arrogance of being afraid of a coach turning them down.

I think Lanning would strongly consider it.

I don’t want to hire coaches over 60. It just goes downhill very fast. This is all moot because DeBoer is staying, but if he didn’t you need to get someone in who will be there for the long haul.
