It's totally stupid. 1 is irreplaceable - perhaps the best CB in the country.
We have other guys that can return punts just as well - if not better. Honestly, it's a lazy decision to have Kool-Aid return punts, and it bit us in the arse tonight.

You gotta figure a back strain won’t keep 1 out against Texas but Moore will definitely be out and it doesn’t look great for Key either

Punt/kick returner is the only position where half the fans don't want to play the best player. And it can be one of the most impactful positions in the game.
