I can't take another year of Grubb. If he is retained, I want Deboer out. NO CONTRACT EXTENSIONS.
I'm not happy but this is silly. This staff needs to evaluate everything because what they're doing is not working well enough for the program's expectations.
However, DeBoer is back in 2026 and 2027 unless he leaves and Grubb is probably here one more year unless he leaves.

I wonder why the coach hasn’t made a change?

I’ve been saying all year Miami is the best team in the nation. Yes they can be beat because Beck can screw things up but they are so dang physical. I believe it will be Indiana vs Miami and Miami wins. That defensive unit they have is unreal. They don’t miss sacks when coming.
They’re about to dominate in the NIL era… stupid money, south beach honey’s, an actual night life for paid athletes… they could dominate.

Bands playing from the stands to, “protect the integrity of the field.” That’s a new one.

quote:Yeah bro are we firing coaches for 1 bad hire now?
Deboer hired Grubb, no?
Not to mention 99% of the whole world thought it was a good hire. At least decent.
You’d have to be a moron to want DeBoer fired after getting his Washington running mate after a season where Alabama legit had to get rid of their OC.
Getting mad at DeBoer for that move is legit retarded

I’ve been a lifetime fan, but never played the game itself. So, perhaps I am misunderstanding. However, why do we keep doing the same plays that don't work, such as running it right up the middle? I am not looking for sarcasm. Are the coaches just hoping it eventually works? Distraction?

Friend and I talked about this the other day. Old days of Miami is what they look like. Lean, long, fast, and physical. Fun team to watch.

Don’t mind losing.
This. Losing isn’t the issue. It’s the getting dominated for multiple quarters, slow starts, and the bonehead decision making that’s infuriating.
Even when we win it’s like we back into it and just survive.

We’ve seen teams with unlimited funds since the beginning of NIL win nothing more often than not. It’s not that simple.

Yeah Miami has a great shot. I think Indiana probably beats Oregon again because they're more sound. But Oregon has the upside to win that game as well

Ty can come back if he wants...doubt we offer him a NIL package though.
And probably will be competing for the starting job with Russell.

DeBoer is what would’ve happened if Shula had 5* players

IU's problem is the difficulty of beating a great team twice in a season.
Cignetti will have pulled off a coaching masterclass to beat that team - well coached and talented - twice in a season.

Are the wide receivers just for decoration?

Also most annoying thing about this is the cocky arse Indiana fans being absolutely right. But it is what it is. They're kicking arse

I've been saying this... 10-2 or 9-3... that's a good year. With the new playoff format, we make the playoffs most years.... WE WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITH deboer... he is the definition of soft. I don't want to hear about how he beat Kirby twice and kicked Oregon around when he was at Washington. The dude is f'n soft. We would be an overall more physical team if Wommack was head coach. Ultimately,a team takes the persona of it's head coach, and our HC is like a loaf of fresh bread. I don't think the Defense can bring us home in this one. Again, 9-3 is a good season, just not what we are used to here. He will never beat Kirby again and that is the benchmark now. It used to be the other way around. Love the way our D fights. They are overwatch tonight.

Roll outs were working. But until Ty decides to fire it, Bernard, Horton, Brooks aren't gonna see the ball
