“yeah” “you know” “right” “gotta stack plays” “it’s unfortunate”

THIS!!! Let's become Auburn
People on this board are so emotional. We clearly don’t have the best coach in the country, but it’s yet to be seen if we have one of the top 10. The CFP is becoming a bit more like basketball, where around 10-15 teams can win the Natty each year and it comes down to injuries, a few plays, matchups in the postseason, etc.
Oregon may very well beat Indiana and we could absolutely have hung with Oregon. Indiana was a bad matchup for us due to the large gap in coaching.

Props to Indiana. Very solid team all around.
Just frustrating how much needs to improve for Bama and unless there are several key changes, its not gonna happen.

Worst bowl loss in program history
Like Coach Saban, DeBoer is setting some Alabama football records except in the opposite. This kind of beatdown is something that does nit happen to elite programs.
It’s like how we used to beat the shite out of pretender programs.

Exactly....the tt loss has already been forgotten by the media.

I don’t care about any of that bull shite. We have MASSIVE ISSUES. Watch tape. Our O lineman have zero idea how to block. We will have two men blocking one guy and letting another run free. Zero idea how to pass off rushers. RBs have zero ability to recognize a blitz and help with said free rushers. I can’t even tell you the last time I saw an OL getting into the second level to make blocks. (Hint they can’t because they are sitting on their asses). We have qb that is more scatter brained than a retarded squirrel. He has no clue how to maintain any poise and move in a pocket. When he does run there a 73% chance he’s going to lose the ball or make a negative play. Our LBS!!!!! Don’t get me started. They catch blocks and rbs. They don’t know where and when to attack. Zero flow thru traffic. Arm tackles. Defensive line gets lucky sometimes but when you need technique against an OL IN stopping the run they can’t do it. The get flushed out. Our cbs have actually been good this year. Our safeties are absolutely horrendous. Sabb is awful at helping in coverage and scared to death of contact. Bray makes splash hits and plays but has zero fricking clue still on how to set his edge of the field no matter what. Or he’s trying to make up for shitty inside play and do it himself. This is ALL COACHING. We got schooled by Indiana coaches today. Solid sound football. Nil be damned. That team just playingwith incredible fundamentals. Our coach is slapping asses and licking ice cream cones to cool music. Evry assistant we have falls on Deboers head.

kind of happens when we get lucky wins ... we could have easily been 8-4 regular season

I wanted to retire with Saban. My fandom dragged me back but a few more games like this, retirement will be inevitable. Roll Tide.

Wow, you big mad.
Did you expect us to go from the greatest coach of all time to the greatest active coach in CFB?

This thread needs to be re-stickied. No excuse for this. A 5 touchdown loss in inexcusable. Heads need to roll

I try to spend time on football but outside of that I do not watch other sports that much unless live. My kids have a very busy schedule that keep me on the move. Luckily the boys like watching football.
I even have season tickets for UNC BBall and maybe get to two games a year now as well as coach one of the UNC BBall coaches kids in soccer.
Side note: One of my son's teachers this year is Jaren Stevenson's mother.

No my guy. It’s called accountability. When folks are making 10-15 mil a year it’s what it is. And lack of accountability in anyone’s job usually costs you something. Period. Do what you’re paid to do or we will find someone that will.

Ty is chicken hearted and not a Christ follower?
Where did I say he is not a believer? That is basically his only redeeming quality at this point.
We're trying to win football games and he is detrimental to that because he has a chickens heart and is more indecisive than the most emotionally confused woman.
We brought a kid cold from the bench and looked a million times better and people still don't realize we basically played handicapped from the Mizzou game once every team realized we had no hovering RB and we had a dunce who was scared to throw deep at QB.
I mean his decision making is the same from this last blowout to our first blowout against FSU.
Do you remember how he didn't know how to run against FSU??
15 games later and he didn't even progress! He got worse!

So top 3 coach, top 5 coach, top 10 coach? What is a reasonable expectation after the GOAT?
I’m hoping the OL and running game is fixed next year or something needs to change, and I’d get rid of our OL and STs coaches this offseason for sure. But we just lost (badly) to the best coach in the country. DeBoer has actually been pretty good against all other good coaches.
(That said, I don’t love starting and ending the year questioning our competitive character. This game snowballed on us and our guys definitely quit.)
