37% from 3 on the Road this season.

29% at Coleman Coliseum.

That place is a cursed dump and should be replaced

The good news is that there won't be postseason games in Coleman. I think we could lose out now and still make the field, so 0 NIT risk.

Really though, I can't recall another Alabama team that played better basketball on the road than at home. It's bizarre.

Holloway, Youngblood, and Sears are taking more relative to the others

2025 Holloway, Sears, CY, and Philon are pretty analogous to 2024 Sears, Rylan, Latrell, and Estrada in terms of 3pt shooting. The only thing missing is a second great 3-ball shooter off the bench (Walters)

Personally, I LOVE starting Youngblood and having insta-bucket Holloway and a pure point guard Philon off the bench.

Hopefully we can take care of Georgia with relative ease this weekend. I saw where they knocked off South Carolina the other night.

State isn't really that team this season. They're a better offensive team than defensive team (#19 offensive, #37 defense).

Their last few PPP defensive games against decent/good offenses

Tennessee - 1.11
Ole Miss - 1.09
Auburn - 1.24
Kentucky - 1.28

Torvik has it at 84-83 Alabama.

Final was 88-84 Bama.

We ended at 1.27 PPP.

Well man, I don't expect perfection. What I do expect are fts to become a priority, because they aren't getting better. I didn't poo poo on anything man. I was very happy with the win and very happy how well the program is doing. I'm ecstatic! But we all want another Final Four or the Natty and that won't happen by shooting just 69% (without Wrightsell) as a team from the line. That and the turnover issues at times. I'm happy and proud of this team. They are really good. But they can get better man.

I coached college basketball. Won conference championships and was in Final Fours. We won a lot of games and were never perfect. However, we were pretty good from the line as a team, took care of the ball, and made bunnies/layups. It's a formula that gives you a chance to win every game man.

Lol...if that's your interpretation of down the stretch, ok. Mine would be the last 5 minutes of the game. I would have said Sears made some shots down the stretch.

We aren't bitching man. Some of us just see the need for the fts to improve if we want to go where we all want to go. Noone was upset at the win. We were all happy. But there is always room for improvement and fts and tos are it.

Firing Oats was stupid and I have no idea who said something about bank shots.

We are now #2 overall according to Lunardi.

Holy shite…I would have never in my life guessed we would see a time where Alabama and Auburn were even projected #1 and #2 overall

We have a record setting offense and half the posts are bitching about FT shooting.

Casting it as bitching sounds like a sunshine pumper maneuver. It is a concern and it could be deadly in a one-and-done tournament. However, the lower team percentage needs context. Partly why our FT% is lower is that we're playing bigger lineups and that tends to result in more bad FT shooters on the court. Our primary ball handlers are largely hitting an acceptable clip. The real concern for me is Grant Nelson's 16.1 point decrease from last year to this year. He'd still be 7-ish points off his FT% at NDSU too. He's really the only big on our team that we go to with designed sets late where the ball may be in his hands for reasons other than a dunk or 3pt shot. He's also got the best dribble and ball handling amongst our bigs too, so he's going to be a part of press break sets and that is a big factor late in games too. Nelson going to the line and missing two late in the game like last night is the exact thing I think we're all talking about...don't extend it to a 3pt or 4pt game then end up in OT or lose to a 3pt shot from a scrappy gym rat in the tournament.

You're arguing with a guy who is not in your league... in a downward way, that is. He will look to redefine the premise by putting words in your mouth. For instance, you never said any of your teams were perfect, only that you chased perfection; because that is what winners do. He will lift some little section of your argument and highlight it and argue a point you never made. Then when all else fails, and he looks like a total fool, he will change the subject completely.

There's this old saying about wrestling a pig...

The guy is a total chump.
