Need another big with experience and a shooting guard. We can win with Phil on and Holloway at point I think. If they stay. We may have a totally different team next year. Wtf knows
You really can't know until the Fall semester starts in this day and age. I think there are the bones of another team that could make a run at it. I agree with others that we need guard/forward wing with length and ideally the ability to finish at the rim.

It shocked me that he is academically one of the smartest kids on the team. lol. Kid has a shitload of potential. Maybe it clicks next year. Oats seems to really believe in him

It wouldn’t shock me if Holloway wasn’t

Isn’t Cunningham like 6’7”? It would be nice just to have some guard size even if the point doesn’t.
Although, if philon is running the point, I think he’s about 6’4”. But he plays smaller. And I do think he’s will have a major jump from year 1 to year 2 if he stays

quote:Really embarrassing Back-to-back Elite Eight appearances with a first in program history Final Four last year - Bama didn't shoot well tonight against the #1 seed and lost - I'm not embarrassed - maybe this Bama insider role is more than you can handle - I've been a fan for 62 years and have NEVER been embarrassed by young men 18 - 22 years old representing Bama - you owe them an apology - Roll Tide.
I think you’re taking it way too serious. It’s embarrassing to lose by 20. Sorry you don’t agree. What does insider have to do with it lol?
Anyway. On to the next year.

Is the Biz not very bright?

And the worst part about sears was his defense. But, it is evident in the disparity of athleticism. I really believe mark has gotten everything he can out of his game. It just is what it is
Look, there’s no reason to be mad at him for what he isn’t.
We should all be thankful for what he brought to the table and the success that was a result of the things he can do.

Look, im pretty sure that is what I stated. He’s as tall as he can be. Fast as he can be. Shoots as good as he can. He is what he is and he’s been a badass for us.
In other words, he is as good a defender as he can be.

I've not been high on him this year but if he's willing to keep on grinding and the staff believes in him then I'm not going to be demanding he kicks rocks. As others have pointed out, he's really a freshman by age after reclassifying to enroll early last year. I kinda would like to see what he's like after an accelerated 3rd year in college before saying he's an outright bum and should go finish out his career in the Ohio Valley Conference or the like.

We were a 2-seed. So yeah, getting absolutely blown out, dominated from start to finish, and losing by 20 is fricking embarrassing.
The guards were horrible outside of Philon tonight but we played one of the most talented teams in recent CBB history IMO.
The two teams I didn’t think we could handle were Duke and UF and unfortunately we ran into Duke on a bad night.
Tough way to go out, but if we play that team 10 times I don’t think we end up with more than 1-2 wins. They’re just built different.

He needs to get stronger, definitely lower body strength

Bama loses a lot but I trust Oats will get guys in and we will once again be a top 10 team.
Speaking of that, this is the first year in Alabama history Bama spent every week in the top 10 in the AP poll. In any year before Nate Oats showed up this year would be considered one of the greatest, if not greatest, seasons in Alabama history.

Oats has to start switching to zone at times. That backdoor cut killed us all night long.

Worried that Cunningham is a flight risk because it feels like almost every RS is these days at every school.

Philon is projected mid to late first round by just about every draft analyst. Last year the lowest first round contract came in at 2.5 million a year. I just struggle to believe he is back next year

And more agressive at the rim. Geez. Just dunk the damn ball

I get it. But all of that is an unknown

Same here. I think the last bball player I yelled at prior to tonight was probably Mark Farmer.
Yelling at the tv during football season is expected at my house. Now ball season is yelling season.
I can't wait for baseball to get to the point where I yell at them too. ??
It's good to be a Bama fan always. Roll Tide my friends.

Long athletic guards were his kryptonite all season which is why I cussed as soon as I saw Duke as the #1 seed in our bracket.
