It got mentioned to me yesterday. Who knows. It’s not out of the question to think it because we look so bad. Now if Milroe comes back and the OL is magically better, maybe there is something to it.
If the OL is throwing the game because they don't like who the coaches put at QB, that just means we're done in a different way. Any player doing that is chickenshit and not focused on doing their job.
I tend to think its just that they're poorly coached and incapable.

Yeah they were pretty bad against texas but yesterday seemed worse somehow.
If we're being honest with ourselves it's partly on the OC as well.
When Buchner was in Rees made most of his throws quicks, screens and RPO.
When Ty came in he stop throwing quicks and started dropping him back. Ty basically has no pocket awareness and can sit back there at times thinking he has all day because he wants to make the big play. The OC should know this and not set the kid up for failure.
It's the same with Milroe. You start dropping him back every down like he's a pocket passer and you're shocked when he sucks. That second interception Milroe threw was a terrible play with only two WR options and both were covered. He shouldn't have thrown the ball and should have just ran out of there but Milroe isn't Bryce Young why even put him in that shitty B10 playcall situation??

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of truth to what Bamafan18 posted.
I think a lot of fans saw it & were thinking it, just no one wanted to say it.
The only positive is that they seemed to have some fight in them at the very end of the game. Maybe that will carry over going forward.

Not sure I can blame Rees on that . Hell they are all needed to stay in and block since our OL is a turnstile

what pissed me off more than anything was it seemed like some guys quit and were intentionally playing bad so that Milroe could come back in.
I'm telling you, the team loves milroe and will play for him. They may not play great, but that could be on the coaches. You have to go with him or Saban loses the team. If that happens, shame on Saban.
EDIT: I'M NOT SAYING THEY'RE DOING IT ON PURPOSE... DIEGO IS SAYING THAT. SOME TEAMS JUST JELL BETTER UNDER ONE LEADER VS ANOTHER.
The attitude of the team is reflective of Saban. He seems like he's just not into it.

If what you're saying is true, then this team is finished. Playing favorites and purposely tanking for another teammate is cancerous to a TEAM.

Cuck mentality. If it's true, we need to do the exact opposite and tell everyone with this sentiment to GTFO. You don't come back from that as a program if you capitulate

I am optimistic honestly...
Ty Simpson should be the starter with Jalen Milroe packages mixed in. Boost both of those guys confidence! It'll keep the defense on their heels.
Offensive line should consist of:
LT- Booker
LG- Proctor
C- McLaughlin (Short leash)
RG- Ferguson
RT- Latham
That'll help protect Ty Simpson and give us the best five I think to put on the field.
Defensively: When we play mobile quarterbacks...I would love to see Justin Jefferson on the field similar to the role we gave Razor Evans when he was here earlier in his career.

Jalen Milroe had a two man route on that play...the play isn't terrible at all but the quarterback must work his eyes from (RIGHT TO LEFT) like he suppose to.
He didn't do it so therefore it results in an easy pick.

That happens in team sports. The team rallies behind someone and not others. Have you never played on a team?!!

OL has to play better, otherwise it doesn't matter who is in at QB. I would like to think some of what we saw yesterday was poor attitude coming off a loss and being on the road against a team we normally wouldn't play on the road and in terrible conditions. Doesn't excuse it, because USF had no business killing our QBs like they did.
However, there was some life at the end of the game. But the issues we've seen are not something that will be fixed in one season. It will probably take a couple more coaching changes, I'd start with S&C.
Saban can fix it, question is does he have the energy to do so. I've said it for years that Saban chose stability over ability when it came to coaches, Golding is a prime example. If I were Saban I'd look at it like it's my last run, a few seasons left at best. So go get the best coordinators and coaches who will buy in and recruit AND coach these players up and win one more before hanging it up.

I think everyone understands what you’re saying bamabonners, but you can’t let the players dictate who starts and who doesn’t. I could be wrong, but I think Simpson should start (on a short leash) bc I think he has the potential to make us a better team by mid year. And again, I could be wrong.
But regardless of who the QB is, the next time they get blindsided…they
need to jump up and start barking at whoever whiffs on a block. The thing I admired most about McCarron. We need some leaders on this team.

But, as for the OLine, c’mon. They’re not out there sabotaging the game or QBs. Hell, they almost got Milroe killed, too. McClellan just just flat-out got beat like a little bitch on the one sack. Dalcourt has sucked balls for 3 years. And Proctor doesn’t look much better.
Suggesting they were letting Simpson get hit on purpose is absurd.
Proctor is too slow on speed rushes right now, this has been true all season.
Booker got hurt.
Seth M has been struggled all season.
Dalcourt got benched until Booker got hurt.
80% of the OL has issues right now and USF was sending blitzes all day that our OC or QB wasn’t accounting for.
They were trying to support Milroe when he was struggling, simple as that.

We could lose the next 6 games on our schedule if they keep playing like this.

You’ve lost your damn mind since you’re claiming that you’ve played team sports if you think because the coaches change QBs after a bad game that the players sabotage the others and you’re ok with it. Everyone gets it you’ve got a hard in for Milroe. He had his chance to take control and failed to do it. Perhaps you should watch your hero while he was supporting Ty when he came off the field and learn something.
