I know Hubbard’s family, great kid and a lifelong Alabama fan from MS, he’s living his dream playing for the Tide… I feel like when got settled in our defense took off…

I agree with you and I think Sabb can probably play deep safety. Hubbard probably could too, but his physicality seems a little better than Sabb's so he's probably a better piece close to the LOS.

Any thoughts on Saab moving forward?

I don’t have numbers on how many blown coverages he had and I’m always hesitant to blame a coverage guy not knowing the call, but it seemed like it happened a lot. Granted I think he was playing through injuries and that might’ve played a role as well, but he and Morgan just seemed like they were always trying to make the big play and often ended up giving up explosive plays as a result.

Mbakwe is also a massive question for me moving forward. Is he just an athlete without a position at the moment? Could he end up competing with Jones?

From bowl prep, it sounded like Mbakwe is a WR only from what the coaches said.

Well that definitely changes numbers at WR and explains why Calhoun was a take at cornerback.

Williams, Bernard, Horton, Hale, Adams, Scott, Hampton, Mbakwe, Meadows, Brooks is 10 WRs. I don't think you could argue we're short at WR.

We are assuming Lawson will be fully recovered. If not, then we are thin AF at LB

Surprising that Okoronkwo hit the portal.

I think a lot of that hinges on Lawson's heatlh. If he is good, you're looking at basically three experienced guys, a couple young returners, and a few true freshmen. That's basically the same as this past season.

If Lawson isn't heatlhy, then yeah, we are an experienced backer down, which isn't good.

This is similar to tOSU this year. The only new guy that started on defense for them was OUR guy, Caleb Downs....and it's working out pretty well!

With Milroe gone and a new QB who is more suited for DeBoer offense I think we are gonna be really really good. And with people doubting our program now we should have a chip on our shoulder

Great point. I see the Milroe jock washers thumbs downed but I totally concur.

The schedule has some difficulty, but we should be in playoff next year.
